Do you think the hold percentages on the slots at the Casino Royale are a little bit better than the other "larger" strip properties? I may take a walk down there because I heard the drinks are cheap for strip standards too......

All that us common folk have access to is the overall Strip hold percentage, unless a given casino volunteers the information. However, smaller properties do tend to offer somewhat better gambling in order to attract clientele. Certainly, their limits are the lowest on the Strip, and their games are at least as good as those at the Strip megatoilets.
If you do go, be sure to join the slot club and get the coupon sheet; there's usually some pretty good offers there.
The fact that a believer is happier than a skeptic is no more to the point than the fact that a drunken man is happier than a sober one. The happiness of credulity is a cheap and dangerous quality.---George Bernard Shaw

Playing at Casino Royale is fun. Dealers are having a good time and the drinks are flowing. Dice dealers sometimes hustle tips but no biggie.

From my observation, Casino Royale has the one craps table that offers 20X odds on $3 bets, and 100X odds on $5 - $50 pass line bets. Other than that table, the rest of the games have large house edges (carnival games, 6:5 blackjack, etc.). But the drinks do flow. Beers are probably the cheapest on the strip.
It's just too smoky for my taste.

Not sure about the slot returns, but as far as mid-strip casinos are concerned, they have the best video poker options for quarters or less. You can play 98.91% deuces wild as cheap as a nickel a hand!
