Quote: DocSo how do I find out how many tier credits went on my account and my wife's at Harrah's St. Louis, and how many in Tunica also, for that matter?
How 'bout asking ? It seems to me that there is a
"contact us" e-mail option buried somewhere in the
Total Rewards website.
However, don't you need to swipe your card in the
promo kiosk to be registered for that particular
site ? At least that is what I have been doing and
then watching the meter on the machine to make
sure I get 25 tier credits.
Good luck. This seems like a very good promo
to me. We did Horseshoe Southern Indiana
last weekend.

Yup. Just earning the 25 credits isn't enough. You need to register or "check in" at a kiosk or rewards desk as well.
*Technically I guess Lake Tahoe/Reno is closer than Vegas. Still, looking at this map, significantly harder for someone living up here in the NW corner of the US.

Did they buy one of the casinos in AR? Or do you mean the Shreveport, LA location?
Quote: teddysJust be aware that your points have reached the required amount at every location. I was playing blackjack for about 1 1/4 hours at Harrah's Chester and afterwards I only earned 14 points (put my card in a slot machine). I had to leave at that point, so I was pissed I didn't get the check-in. (It could be the one that keeps me from 15 check-in points.)
Oh, man! 11 points on a slot machine is $55 coin in. You must've been in a hell of a rush to not mash the buttons for 3 minutes:-)
It takes a lot to get me to play slots. Earning 11 points for a promotion apparently will not do it.Quote: rdw4potusOh, man! 11 points on a slot machine is $55 coin in. You must've been in a hell of a rush to not mash the buttons for 3 minutes:-)

lol! ok. And 8/5 JOB doesn't do it for you either? You, sir, are a man with high standards:-)
I finished this past week with the g/f and got $750 each coming to us. Hit this below in Tunica while trying to stretch out my gaming time and consume many comped drinks. Playing at the 2c level took me a couple of hours to earn 26 points (I always get at least 1 extra). My third royal, and the other 2 were on pennies...doh Conversely, I popped out Horseshoe Southern Indiana within 15 minutes on a quarter 9/6 JoB machine earlier in the week and won about the same amount of money as that Royal...lol
Yeah. Got the $750 in credits. It was harder than I expected to earn the 25 points at properties that didn't have good video poker. Sometimes the table games ratings didn't do it, and I left without earning the requirement. Still, popped it, and without needing to check-in in Vegas. I'm still going to check-in here, though, so a friend can get the $750.Quote: tringlomaneAnyone else finish off this thing?
Congrats on the royal.
Hopefully you can find a kiosk in Vegas, my g/f and I failed to find one while we were there. But we were only there during the promo July 1st-2nd and didn't look at every casino.
end, then yep, the Mrs and I hit the 750 level.
I agree it was more expensive this year with the
25 tier credit criteria, but I understand why
they added that.
Anyone know why some regions are 3
points, some are 2, and some are only 1 ?
Maybe because each site has to help fund
the comp pay-outs, and some only wanted
to "back" the promo up to a certain amount ?
Also, is there any way to confirm what their
records show before this officially ends ?
Quote: JohnnyQI agree it was more expensive this year with the 25 tier credit criteria, but I understand why they added that.
Yeah, and I wouldn't be surprised if next year it gets up to 50 or 100. It's still not a bad deal if you have some luck, but my trips this year have not had much luck.

The 1 point properties are ones that CET doesn't outright own (North Carolina) or is selling (St Louis). I imagine Horseshoe Cleveland was made 2 points because it's so new and they want to encourage the new market to travel. Not sure why Ak-Chin or Rincon didn't get the 1 point status, though both of them are in the same grouping for "Southwest region." Reno was probably 1 point because I imagine they are trying to get out of the Tahoe/Reno market and have a sale in the works that hasn't panned out.
The 3 point destinations, Tunica and Vegas, are both very competitive and I think the idea is to get some play in those markets against stiffer competition. I'm surprised Atlantic City didn't make the 3 point list, though if it were three points, you could get 5 just from visiting two properties within an hour of each other, Harrah's Philly and AC.

No, and they won't tell you either, which kind of irks me.
Didn't this promo end more than a month ago? I don't seem to have received any rewards at all so far, even though I expected to receive 25,000 credits and possibly a similar amount for my wife. Have the rest of you who participated received credits on your Total Rewards accounts?

I was confused as well, and just checked the FAQ. Payouts this year are on 11/15/12 (or sooner). I still don't have my $$ either.

And considering when I got the points last year, expect them exactly on 11/15. The date got shifted a bit I think to guarantee that Harrah's STL was off the books. It became Hollywood on Friday.
Tunica 3
Vegas 3
St. Louis 1
Cherokee 1
Total = 8 Checkpoints -----> 25,000 RCs.
I have just received 2,000 RCs, and my wife received none. Certainly a long way from what I was expecting. Maybe this will be "fixed" soon.
Quote: Doc... I have just received 2,000 RCs, and my wife received none. Certainly a long way from what I was expecting.
Well, I received 2,500 more RCs over night, so it looks as if they are slowly working on things. My wife still hasn't received any at all. It doesn't appear that they have a very good process in place to implement their payout.
Quote: DocI now seem to have been awarded a total of 10,000 RCs from this promo: 2,000 by yesterday, 2,500 more over night, and another 5,500 during the day today. That would be a correct total if they only gave me credit for 7 of the 8 checkpoints that I thought I had earned. The only possibilities that match that would be if I didn't get credit for either St. Louis or Cherokee. Before leaving Cherokee I verified that I had earned enough points that day to qualify there. I failed to do that at St. Louis, but later a Total Rewards desk rep at the Rio checked his computer and assured me that I had earned the Great Race check point for St. Louis. He may have been blowing smoke or just clueless. I'm still hoping that the rest of the credits will show up eventually. My wife has still received no bonus RCs from the promo.
My guess is that your problem is with St. Louis. I didn't go to Cherokee this year, but I'm also missing the credit from one checkpoint and I did go to Saint Louis.

I appropriately got credit for St. Louis, fwiw, and I earned exactly 15 checkpoints (Vegas, KC, STL, CHI, S. Indiana, Metropolis, Tunica). Is it possible that you failed to "check-in" for any of your destinations? Or did you go to CHI or Metropolis only within the first two weeks? I thought these were BS rules, but they were listed. Obviously it's worth fighting over if you don't randomly get your remaining award by tomorrow.

I definitely checked in everywhere I went, and I didn't make it to Metropolis until early August. If Saint Louis wasn't the problem, the next most likely one might be Windsor or Cleveland. I should have credit for : AC-2, Chester-2, HSI-2, STL-1, Metropolis-2, Windsor-2, Cleveland-2, and Bossier-2, for a total of exactly 15.
Edit: I think I may have checked in at Cleveland on one day and played on another - my time at the casino was from about 5-7am and the playing "day" is 6am-6am. Man, would that be awful...
Quote: DocOf course, I can't speak for rdw, but I am certain that I got signed in for St. Louis (and all of the other places I visited/played). I then lost $100 playing craps, but it didn't take very long, so I don't know whether I earned enough points for that play to get the Checkpoint -- the Rio rep later claimed that I did, but I'm not certain that he was correct. If I did not get the checkpoint for St. Louis, then I wasted a trip to Cherokee, since that checkpoint didn't move me to the next bracket as I thought it would.
St. Louis was pretty bad for comping tables, ime. I think flat betting BJ at $10/hand usually got me about 12 Tier/hr. So if your craps session went "quick", I wouldn't be shocked if you failed to get 25 Tier/hr on their records and the guy at the Rio lied to you. I always checked my Tier points earned that day before quitting in a slot/VP machine, usually at 26. Unfortunately it's not clear what you earn with table games.

I have a bad feeling this could be the case. Having a VP binge night at Tunica Roadhouse once (not during this promotion) from midnight to 6:30am, I saw my Tier Credits "earned for the day" split up. The gaming day resets at 5am there. And like you say, it resets at 6am in Cleveland. To cover all bases, I also avoided earning 25 Tier between an actual day shift (e.g. finish before midnight or begin after midnight).
If that is really why you're short, maybe you could still get it counted if you contact them. But that would be out of them being "nice"...blah. And obviously act clueless about the gaming day rules.
too.
But now it looks like I got some of my wife's
points, 'cuz I have a few too many and she
doesn't have quite enough. We have
separate TR account #'s.
So on AVERAGE
we each have the right amount of Total
Rewards credits that we are supposed to
have, so I'm not going to bother trying to
sort that out. No harm no foul, just an
almost unbelievable level of incompetence !
Mrs Q and I finally got our points straightened
out some time today.
But for a while the point totals seemed to change
every 4 or 5 hours.
I'm not sure what was so hard about posting
the right amount of points, but ths promotion
is so good for the player, I won't complain.
(Well at least I won't now, now that we have
all our points).
Quote: teddysI have all my credits now. Wheee! Off to Bacchanal . . .

plain CRAZY.
We did eat at the buffet at Bellagio
once a few years ago, though, since
our friends really wanted to try it.
