Suncoast is offering a mystery multiplier every day through December 31st. The ad shows values from 7 to 15x. Swipe at a kiosk to activate.

I've done it twice, and both times received 11x slots/7x vp, which is probably the lowest combination since that's what they routinely offer on multiplier days.

I like the idea of requiring an opt-in for multipliers because the casino can offer better promotions when fewer patrons receive the benefit, but I suppose you may run the risk of registering a visit in the computer system if you swipe without playing.

Here's the ad:

"Scientists tell us that the fastest animal on earth, with a top speed of 120 feet per second, is a cow that has been dropped out of a helicopter."

Have you had any issues with it? I have seen something from some other forum(forget offhand which one it was) that if you play over a certain amount, you get backed off. Might have been on a Bob Dancer column as well.

I'm rarely a serious player at this point, so I'm not on their radar. My game would be the quarter NSUD upstairs, but unless the multiplier is amazing, the cigarette smoke usually forces me out of the casino rather quickly.

I think the backoffs have tended to involve the $5 Boner Deluxe that triggers a W-2G for every quad.

I've heard of a few people being backed off for only playing $5 9-6 Bonus Poker Deluxe on big multiplier days. Since hearing those stories I play at the $2 denom. Still, I think my account is at least flagged, because I never get mailers.

Sometimes casinos claim mail was returned as undeliverable when people ask about receiving no mail. I usually think it's just an excuse considering they normally Don't mail first class to even know mail is undeliverable.

I really miss good multipliers around here locally. Casinos used to do 10 or 15x and sometimes 20 or 30x for limited times around 1-2 hours. Invitation only really ruined it in my opinion because I am often infrequent and think it just discourages people to come back who aren't already zombified. It's a good idea in my opinion for the short term but eventually backfires. I also don't like it much as the only promotion for the day.

My guess would be slot multipliers ranging from 11 to 15x, and vp multipliers ranging from 7 to 10x. That would cover all the possibilities displayed in the ad.

EDIT: I notice the ad shows 11x twice, so there may be an 11x multiplier available for vp.

That nickname originated on another board, but don't worry, at my age it's strictly figurative :(

I used to get mailers with small free slot play and food coupons and then I played 9/6 BPD on a multiplier day for about 6-8 hours. I never got another mailer from them again.

I would assume 7X is the most likely result for VP players by far. I wonder if it's random chance, or if they have some algorithm based on your game choices. Like those who infrequently play long sessions, and when they do play it's mostly penny slots. Those ppl will be better for the casino to receive 15X.

My local casino gives out multipliers everyday. I always get 2 or 3X out of a possible 10X. But they are offering a minimum of 10X on New Years (up to 14X), so I might be doing that one with 35/8/5 bonus.

And even the Wizard plays "Boner Deluxe"! The game is really catching on! haha

I've given up on the promotion, but someone on vpfree posted that they've received the minimum combination every time as well.

That's why, to borrow a concept from another thread, if logistically convenient, I would not hesitate to pee on their floor.

I wouldn't be surprised if the multiplier distribution was something like:

7X - 90%, 8X - 7%, 9X - 2%, 10X - 1%.

or worse.

My local casino has a 10X to 14X promo on new year's day. I totally expect to get 10X if I go.

What if you don't play $5 do you still get no-mailed playing boner poker? If you play $2 you won't get a taxable unless its a royal. Does the W2-G amounts piss them off, or the denomination in which you are playing that game?

Sometimes I play the best game on quarters at a lot of Boyd properties on multiple days but will move up in denom if I get bored. Since Suncoast has a multiplier pretty often I wanted to go, but the no mail thing is keeping me away, also the fear of getting comps revoked or barred.

So yes, you can get no-mailed there even at $2. I am assuming the W2G's make them want to back people off fully though. Probably thinking you are getting them more often than you should be or something stupid like that.

You're above my pay grade, but I suppose the other uncertainty is how the Boyd properties interact in terms of your rating for mail. Bob Dancer blogged about the situation a couple months back. He was backed off for playing the $2 denom, but he had previously been restricted, and his play results were unusually lucky, and he played on his wife's card. Here's the result, from his November 5th post:

"This wasn't my first rodeo with respect to being backed off. It's just part of the cost of doing business.

"It was, however, a lot worse than I thought. Someone at Suncoast marked my record so that I would never again receive BConnected mailers no matter how much I played at Gold Coast and Sam's Town. At both casinos, mailers include extra point multiplier days that aren't available to players who don't receive mailers. When I went to the booth at Gold Coast to see if I could get my mailers resumed, I was told that I had to go through the Director of Security at Suncoast. If I could get him to remove his 'restraining order,' Gold Coast would happily resume mailers based on my play. But if I couldn't do this, Gold Coast wouldn't issue me any mailers.

"To date I haven't pursued this."

Well I don't usually play $2, sometimes $1 if I have a profit or hit 4 deuces on quarters to get the 10k coin in over with faster. Anyway I was wondering since I never played at Suncoast because of the whole 86ing fiasco.

It doesn't sound like you play high enough to be no-mailed unless you totally camp out there, but I was wondering ... let's say during a month you intend to play eight sessions of 10k each. Do you get better mail playing one property exclusively for a total of 80k at that one place? Or can you spread your play among the four properties without screwing up your rating?

I thought I heard that it was better at Boyd to be "monogamous," but I don't have a cite, and my own level of play is so pathetic that it's hard to tell.

Station No mails anyone who plays the VP machines where the theo is above 100% with any volume at all. I was no mailed after I played a total of 24 hours over the course of 18 months. I would not at all be surprised if anyone who primarily plays VP on bonus point days is no mailed in short order even if they play quarters.

I think part of the hate for Suncoast is that they've actually trespassed players instead of simply restricting their slot club benefits.

I've seen comments that Stations will restrict players by removing their access to multipliers. A couple times for me the multiplier button was unavailable at the kiosk, but the slot club activated it manually. Just a technical glitch apparently.

I got the 7x and got beat up on Boner Poker Deluxe. Only caught one 4oak during 1000 hands. Then of course as soon as I switch to 5 play on ugly ducks I catch natural 4OAK!!! Had 3 shots at 4 deuces being dealt 3 but none converted....Sam's was definitely better. I went to the 10x day and did a lot better.

Some guy at the high limit room hit 4AWAK on $20, for $40k, and 4 4's on a $5 for $4k. Didn't look like the Wizard, and I'm sure won't be caught dead at that game on that paytable.

Boyd is offering a new mystery multiplier, for seniors only:

Offered during the day on Wednesdays, the theoretical maximum is 50x (which would equal 5% cash back). They probably chose 50 because that's the minimum age to qualify for the promotion. I'm chronologically inadequate, so I won't be reporting my results.

Seniors receive several additional benefits, including a t-shirt, drawings and almost free food.

At Suncoast, the promotion coincides with a 7x multiplier for all players (swipe at a kiosk to activate).

The Jackpot Jackets promotion is available during January, but Gold Coast and Orleans require a "taxable" with max bet, whereas the rules at Sam's Town and Suncoast are much more liberal. Or play 12,000 points to receive a jacket. The limit for the promotion is 2 per property, 8 total. That's a lot of jackets.

running a few hundred hands over a cycle on 4k's is ridiculous to say you ran bad. Running good on royals has given you a false sense of VP invincibility. This could quickly lead to chasing and hurt your bank roll.

Is it just me, or is anybody else bothered by age discrimination? The Suncoast has 50+ promotions all the time, but almost everybody in the place is over 50 anyway. It leaves what few young people they have feeling left out. Kind of like a promotion for everybody except Capricorns.

Then again, I'm just 17 months away from 50, and somehow I have a feeling I'll be griping about this a lot less after that.

Hmmm...I guess if I'm looking for a boyfriend, this might not be the VERY worst place to show up...though I'm betting it's 80% women and, of the men there, 70% married. Then again, can't say I'm really looking. There has to be SOME good come from getting older (other than the alternative), since you pay for it with sags, bags, aches, and pains, so I guess Senior Discounts will have to do. lol...

There is this type of "age discrimination" in just about any business. It's just called "senior discount."

That doesn't excuse it. I remember when Home Depot had a policy of always giving seniors a discount. I think it was 10% off for over 50. It made me feel like I was paying 11.11% extra for being young. Bravo to Home Depot for dropping that policy. However, I was so upset about it at the time I took my business to Lowe's and have not gone back.

No, it would be bad, for the reasons to state. Especially the bingo room. What few men in there are always coupled off.

When I was at Social Security I had access to outside data on marital status by age. It was pretty depressing for me at the time, as there was a huge glut of young single men.

The last place you can discriminate is giving seniors better stuff. I didn't like Suncoast anyway (multipliers are all over the other casinos, and they are closer) so this gives me one less reason to stop by since it's so far.
