Electric Daisy Carnival is an annual 4 day event that’s held at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway that begins at midnight and goes until sunrise. 150-200k attend each night consisting mostly of younger generations. Room rates through the roof, traffic nightmare, etc.

But what’s buzzing on social media are the six figure bar tabs that are being posted. One exceeding 200k. Then add a 20% auto gratuity and a 9% administrative fee it’s over 50k in fees alone. Who in their right mind pay $75 for a bucket of water that contains 6 12oz bottle’s, yet alone spending $3000 on water alone. A $30 bottle of alcohol selling for $3,000 each. What is wrong with these people?

I will try to post a picture of one of the tabs later unless someone else can do it before me. Incredible. One server made almost $80k in tips from just two customers in one night. Servers making $500k in just four nights!

Do they make too much money? Today's economy is strange to me. I meet more and more people who make ridiculous money online so that they can afford to take jobs they love but pay little. People can live in rural areas while pulling down Manhattan salaries which leaves a lot more disposable income. I never thought I'd see tens of thousands of Dead Heads flocking to upscale resorts for a week on concerts on the Mexican Riveria, and certainly never thought Burning Man would turn into whatever itis it turned into.

Here’s one I saw on Twitter.

Interestingly, and stupid gouging aside, the tax is before the BS charges. Isn’t it supposed to be after?
I invented a few casino games. Info: http://www.DaveMillerGaming.com/ ————————————————————————————————————— Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood? 😁

you can buy Ace of Spades 1.5 Rose for $1100, they charged $7500 each and they bought 4. Bucket of Red Bull comes out to $25 per can. I’m guessing the water has got to be the biggest rip off. $2700?

The point is isn’t this price gouging? $20k for administrative fee? For what? Processing a credit card? What the hell is that Admin fee?

Shows you what I know. I thought it was more like a tailgate party with some live stages.

I've seen bigger bills from corporate hospitality suites so I'd want to know more about this receipt.. That could be an all-day tent with multiple bars and servers.
If the service fee is a tip, I don't think it should go pre-tax. I don't know what the other fee is, but I don't think surcharges aren't subject to sales tax.

The bill says Kinetic. There's an EDC bottle service page that says that this is the location of the "Marquee Sky Deck," which is labeled as their premier viewing location. That could explain some of these prices.
