Just saw this show and LOVED it. ( Disclosure: I am a Cheap Trick fan. But my wife also loved the show and she can't quite call herself a big fan ). Got a good deal on discounted tickets at TIX4TONIGHT, or whatever it is called.
The show is a big time production, 3 orig members of Cheap Trick, some extra musicians, back-up singers, and a 21 piece orchestra to boot.
If you have a chance, check it out.

When Cheap Trick first hit, I played that album over and over, just killer riffs. I had the same thing happen, sort of, with Huey Lewis & the News last month at Mohegan; free tix, the wife's a fan and I'm not... killer show. He played a whole lot of obscure Memphis soul covers, saved the hits for the end so I could dodge out quickly while the Mrs bopped to "Power of Love".
A falling knife has no handle.

Ouch. Yes, a couple. They had "enough" singles to put out a "Best of" CD a couple of years ago.
And as proof that they "made it", I submit as evidence that they have a song on GUITAR HERO !

I saw them a 2nd time on Wednesday (when the Mrs and kids went to see Lion King). They liked their show from the nosebleed seats, and I LOVED my show from the front section.
The original band is there with the exception of the drummer, and add a 21 pc Orchestra.
