This is such a non-story. It's only been open like a month and a half... of COURSE they're starting out at a loss.
And the CFO quit because Dolan is apparently a giant a-hole and they didn't get along.

lol, I didn't know that. I never did like their sound.
Quote: billryanYesterday, all my friends were thrilled about the D&C residency, and the tribe was planning on reuniting. Today, everyone is warning about the lighting causing migraines and epileptic fits. There are multiple reports of seats with limited visual access, and it seems if you are over 6'2" or weigh more than 200 pounds, the chairs don't work. When the costs skyrocketed, they added extra seats, making the aisles smaller. Yesterday, thirty people were on one forum planning on going; today, it's three definite.

I had to look it up.... It stands for "Dead & Company."
It's a Grateful Dead cover band where half the members are former members of the actual Grateful Dead.

Kinda, sort of. It was the last evolution of the Grateful Dead. They'd announced the last tour was the end, but supposedly Bob Weir was inspired by his beloved 49ers to revisit Vegas. It's a forgotten chapter in Dead history, but when the Dead were at war with Ticketron, they were effectively blackballed on the West Coast. The casinos didn't want them, so they played the old Silver Bowl and Sam Boyd Stadium a dozen times in a few years.
Weir and John Mayer have a strong bond, even though Weir could be his grandfather. If my friends decide to go, I'm pretty sure I'll take the trip but Vegas in June isn't much better than Tucson weatherwise.
Presumably he waited for Superbowl week to do the stunt.
Many are complaining that the visuals were disappointing
One fan said it looked like a windows 95 Screensaver behind the band
