that he'd never make another one.
Just like Daniel Craig said he'd rather
eat ground glass than make another
Bond movie. We'll see..

Quote: WizardI heard about this months ago and applied to be an extra as somebody with gun experience -- but was not offered anything. I'm quite sure it is legitimate. However, the part about rubbing elbows with Matt Damon was likely hype. When I was an extra on Homicide I was told to not bother the stars, let them go through the chow line first, and don't even ask to sit with them. Despite the overt class system, Peter Gerety said "hello" to me.
I have a funny Matt Damon story
My brother in law builds movie sets was working on a Matt Damon film.
He has an unusual 1st name.
He asked the head of the crew for a Matt Damon autograph, he collects
Word got around to Damon and he obliged but thought he was a female so he signed a picture with "love and kisses"
Well this became a big joke on the set because he's a guy
Well when this got back to Matt, he kindly asked him to his trailer to give him another autograph
Matt had such a good time over this story, he actually got my sisters number from my brother-in law and called my sister jokingly telling my sister despite signing an autograph love and kisses, he is not in a relationship with her husband :-)

Yup. I was an extra in a 1980 Jeff Bridges
movie being filmed in Santa Barbara. It
took 3 days for my scene to film and we
were told to stay as far away from the stars
as possible. If they walked by don't talk
to them or try and make eye contact. If
they want to seek us out that's OK, but
none of them paid us the slightest bit
of attention. Mostly we stood around for
three days being bored to death.
It was called Cutters Way and I'm in some
of these scenes. They changed the title
to Cutter and Bone later.
Or the dorky kid with glasses?

Never heard of it -- perhaps because you ruined it (j/k).

It wasn't in the theaters long. Good cast,
hard to follow plot. You lived in Santa
Barbara, remember the big parade they
have every summer? They reinacted the
parade for the movie and I was part of
the crowd on the sidewalk. 3 days to
shoot the stupid thing for no money.
They gave us lunch, which was a brown
bag with a turkey sandwich, a small
bag of Fritos, and an apple and a Pepsi.
Movie making is extremely boring, I
never had the urge to be in another one.
My guess is that you're directly behind Jeff Bridges with the woman that is looking upwards. Looking at the photo, your likely on the left of that woman, and she's probably your girlfriend or wife.

I was in this scene, not in these pics.
I was never that close to the stars,
and they put all the best looking
people behind them in shots like
this. There were at least 150 extras
there for 3 days, they just moved
us around a lot to make the crowd
look bigger.
It was a lot of fun.

Way too much to live up to there. I would be a huge disappointment.

I don't know why she was interested in me, but at the time I didn't care.
I think she mentioned something about being disappointed, now that I think of it?
If you are referring to the film, and not the topic of the last couple of posts, then yes I saw it Friday evening.Quote: GWAESo who saw it and how was it?
I'd rate it "fair" and definitely weaker than the previous three. As for the Las Vegas scenes, they were creative with the geography. In the car chase up the strip, they had crashes for about a mile getting from Aria to Paris. Then, after the leap/crash at Bally's, they smashed into the casino right next door -- you know the one: the Riviera, of course!

Was it called "The Riviera" in the movie, or was given a non-trademarked "movie" name, like "The Tangiers" or "The Montecito"?
How about in the Hangover 3 when Chow parachutes off a Ceasars balcony over the Bellagio fountains towards Cosmo, and then somehow lands near the Plaza hotel downtown?!
Saw it, like it. Classic Bourne movie - tons of action, the Vegas scenes were a bonus. Good antagonist once again.Quote: GWAESo who saw it and how was it?
Rating: 4 out of 5.
Also saw "Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates". Hilarious and raunchy, it earned its R Rating big time. 4.5 out of 5.
Yes, I guess that (as usual) it's a matter of what you are looking for and how you view what you find.Quote: JohnnyQClassic Bourne movie - tons of action....
I agree that that there was plenty of action. In disagreement, I think it was way too much flash bang with hardly any story line to hold it together.
Saw much of the same in the Star Trek Beyond film -- lots of animation whizzing by, with little to the story.
I thought Star Trek this time around was a bit slow in parts, and missed the mark overall. 3.5 out of 5.Quote: DocSaw much of the same in the Star Trek Beyond film -- lots of animation whizzing by, with little to the story.
