I have an issue with heights and watching that video while noticing, as you did, that all he has is a little seat belt, freaked me out.
In addition... "VooDoo ZipLine, a new zip ride between two of Rio’s towers, sends a pair of riders soaring 490+ feet over the Strip at 33 mph"
Unless the second Rio tower is somehow on the East side of the strip, isn't this a bold faced lie? Like, if the building were on the strip and this went between next-door buildings on the strip, but never technically over Las Vegas Blvd., then fine, but this is stretching the word "over" WAY too much.

I hadn't noticed that before, but, holy crap. How DO they get away with that? Are their lawyers asleep?
Now, head to South Africa if you want a REAL zipline experience.

Hey, when you want to quote anything from my country, you have to ask permission first :)
So the two ziplines currently going head to head is Slotzilla underneath the canopy and this one......also I remember there being rumours about a zip line somewhere around Excaliubur and Luxor? Has that one stalled out? Last time I recall they were having issues with the people incharge of airspace....fda, faa, whatever :)
Has anyone done both? I'm headed down to Freemont when i get back and will partake in Slotzilla as I get free tickets.
On another front, has anyone ever done the sports car driving course at the speedway? I think I'm getting a drive around for my birthday.

I went and watched several customers driving some of the cars there last year.
Their speed was pretty good, but I suspect the experience was less than stellar, given the fact that the venue was a (boring) oval.
A road course would have been more interesting.
Still, if you want a taste of exotica, that is a way to get your fix.

I agree with regards to an Oval not being as exciting. Still, doing 180 mph around those turns can't be all bad can it?
Also, I never look a gift horse in the mouth. Add to that i fancy myself as a bit of a "driver", I think I could take on that oval and win :)
Face, we should race street cars around Vegas sometime when you come to visit :)

Absolutely!
What happens in Vegas ...
Quote: ontariodealermy buddy who loves high speed surprised me when he told me he went out to the speedway and went around in a porsche WITH A DRIVER....he said it was incredible taking all the turns at 200 mph sideways.
You can do that or you can also take the wheel yourself after going through extensive training. I would absolutely not want to do this if I couldn't drive myself even though it would be pretty exciting either way :)

Tomspur,
I did the Daytona Experience in 1998, riding 3 laps @ speeds up to nearly 200mph. It was astounding and a lifetime memory I still recall in every detail. If you have the money for the Driving Experience course, I'm told it's even better, but being in the car is WORLDS different from watching it; deceptively easy in appearance, unbelievable in person. Highly recommend either.
