Especially in my early trips I researched as much about local/area attractions as I could online. To my knowledge, there is no casino or gambling muesum in Vegas.
Am I right? Shouldn't there be one?
Casinos get a rahter prominent mention in the Mob Museum. I know about the Neon Museum, too, and it's hard not to learn some local history just by going to Vegas. Plus there's the small dusplay of ancient slot machines at the Golden Gate, and what I call the Slot Museum upstairs at the Ditz. But thats' about all I know about.

Most definitely there should be a casino/gambling museum in Vegas. Probably right along side or connected to the Neon Museum.
I am a huge fan of 'old Vegas'. Vegas before my time. There are displays of things like old slot machines and photgraphs, scattered at different locations like Sam' Town and El Cortez, but not enough. In a sense, downtown, still can feel a little like days of old and it is one of the reasons I like going there. There also are places like Jerry's nugget, another of my favorites where it feels like the 20th century. Sometimes, I just sit for a few minutes and watch the older crowd feeding coins into the old coin dropper nickel machines. Their fingers a funky shade of metallic silver. The Downtown Henderson casinos also have that same feel to them.

While writing my post I got struck with the idea of a casino/museum combination. It's fuzzy, still, but I envisioned old table games, old slot machines, all playable, with dealers, attendants, etc, alongside or near to roped off exhibits with explanatory placards. Of course this would work only if older, discontinued games, like Faro, were resurrected.
