JB and I worked hard on this, so I hope you'll give it a try. Check out our new Name that Casino game. Actually, there are five different games.

As always, I welcome all comments. Let me know how you did.

I got 8 right on the first 1. I got the last question right, but it didn't say correct. The final score was updated. iPhone 3GS if that matters.

24 out of 25 on Test 1. Said Mandalay Bay for TI pool!

Will try for 100% on the other tests later!

Nice game! Good mix of toughies with some easier ones.

Got a 92% on test 1. Many of my answers were just trying to match the expected style or theme and not a straight out knowledge of the casinos.

Congratulations, but I would expect no less from you.

I tried to not have too many pool pictures, because one generally has to be a guest to go to them. However, I don't have any TI pool pictures in any of the tests, unless you count the "lake" the pirate ships are in. There is another indoor picture with the pool in the background. That is one of the toughest ones and I thought a while if it was fair. A problem is I have so few TI pictures to begin with.

I know, right? Anything less than 100% is a disappointment for me.

Just took the second test. You got me again. I didn't know if the tattoo shop was Hart & Huntington or Vince Neil Ink, and of course you put both of their casinos in the answer choices. Guessed wrong.

24 out of 25 on Test 2.

I viewed it in Firefox and in order to get to the Proceed button I constantly had to use the mouse but was forever using the scroll arrows by force of habit which of course changed my selection, usually from wrong to right.

I got 18 out of 25 in the first one. Not bad since
I've never been in Cosmo, Aria, Palazzo, Encore,
Palms, Gold Coast, and have no intention of ever
going into them. I'm a Downtown guy and hate
the rest of Vegas. I haven't been a tourist since
1979.

This was awesome. MORE!
Best was 22/25, worst 18/25. Some of them were quite tricky, especially for someone who doesn't live close enough to see every aspect of the casinos.

That was just your bad luck you got both options. The way it works is the four wrong answers are randomly chosen from among all the casinos represented in the test.

Do one for Downtown, I'll ace all of them. You almost
have to live in Vegas to be all that familiar with all the
Strip and off Strip casinos. I haven't been in LVH for
30 years, or the Trop for 20. I was there for 10 days
last month and saw Paris, Flamingo, Harrahs and Rio.
Thats it, the rest of my time was Downtown. And I
regret the Strip casinos I did go to, the action was awful.

25/25 on test 3. Yay. There were a couple little hints that probably should have been blacked out, but nothing too glaring.

The babe from the Hard Rock pool photo shoot is quite comely. I'm surprised she was only in one review.

Edit:
Test 4=25/25
Test 5=24/25. Saw the Britney Spears display and thought it was either Hard Rock or Planet Hollywood. Guessed wrong.

I've been thinking about this since I got back. I
like action, and Downtown the action can change
very fast because the casinos are easily accessible
to foot traffic. If there's no action in a Strip casino,
you can sit there for an hour and watch your
fingernails grow and there will still be no action.
The Strip ebbs and flows, Downtown is subject
to radical changes in action, you never know what
will happen.

Just took downtown test 1. Did OK. Lots of "I've SEEN that! Where was it..." but good guesswork, I guess. 19 of 25.

Can't help but notice that Lisa is in 24 of the 25 pictures. Did you ask her to pose in the pic in the men's room? :-)

Edit: totally bombed test two. 9 of 25. At one point, I truly forgot what I was doing. distraction-by-blonde is a real challenge to overcome!

DT 1 = 25/25. Tough! Some of things aren't even there anymore, like the crappy snack bar at the _____. (That's where the new sportsbook is now).

DT 2=22/25. Super tough! That hint on the paytable for the 10/7 DB is clever. The image that shows the Market Street Cafe didn't give me the correct answer choice. I picked Main Street Station, which it said was correct. That's not Main Street Station.

I spend way too much time downtown.

Edit: Bob, did you ace all of them? ;)

On the strip test 1, when you zoom into the sign on the Jubilee Theater, you can see the casino name.

On the strip test 2, you can make out a sign at "The Shoppes at ______". You can't see the whole word, but you can figure it out. There is a scene with a portrait of some entertainer with a red background, and I could only get the answer by looking at the letters in the circle above the frame.

On the strip test 3, In the picture of the lady sitting in an orange chair, I saw one word of the casino name on a sign.

In test 4, there is a sign at the Shark Reef where you already blocked out some words, but they appear again at the bottom of the sign.

In test 5, there is a picture of a pool where the name of the pool is on the glass behind the lady and it is casting a shadow of the name.
