This is by far one of my favorite stops when I go to vegas I found out about it 2 years ago or so. Great drinks and a good change of pace from the stip and the casinos. Just off the 15 on Charleston. Thought I would share I have not heard anyone talk about it on the site yet.

These are from my trip last week. Im not in the photos that would be my fiancée. Much better looking then I am.

Have you been up to the bar at the top of the Strat ?

No Cover, No Elevator Ticket, laid back and excellent
views. There is probably a 1 drink minimum, if I
recall correctly.

And no TIKI stuff either, which can either be a
pro or con...

Didn't know the place existed. Reminds me of my youth when Tiki bars were the rage and every town had a least one. Lots of people decorated their basement rec rooms in a tiki theme as well.

Yeah, I love Frankie's as well. When I go to Vegas I usually spend one day Downtown, and on that day I'll take a cab and ease over to Frankie's for a couple of hours.

It is a great spot to relax for a while, and I have found the drinks to be nice and strong. I will typically order my first drink in one of their ceramic tiki mugs (see pic below). Makes for a nice souvenir.

Gotta love that slot machine tiki mug!

Yep, it is $23 for the mug with the drink, and the mug alone is $18. The drinks without the mug are $9.

They use a "skull rating" to indicate how potent each drink is, and I have found the 5-skull ones to be mighty strong!

Frankie's Drink Menu

The back of each mug includes some form of "Frankie's Las Vegas", which is why I like them as souvenirs.

Nope, I think of Tiki Bar TV : http://www.tikibartv.com/

Was a popular video pod cast a few years ago.

Frankie's Tiki bar is next to UMC they have a sign that says HUGE JACKPOTS. however it is very small inside. They have a small interesting bumper pool table. Its very dark inside with interesting tiki type things. They have one long bar and 2 or 3 flat screen TVs that loop some bizarre stuff. I can't even explain it possibility some kind of a Hawaiian pig orgy . They have a few tall bar tables. there MAY be a small seating room with a beaded curtain. The bathrooms are small and yucky. They have 10 to 15 Gamblers bonus machines BAD pay of course. Years ago they had $20 for $20 match play coupons from a local magazine with no expiration or total limit other then 1 per visit, I still have some, however it was often rejected due to incompetents, fear or laziness. The heavy set day time manager lady was not very likable which is fine because the bar is vacant usually during the day anyways. Normally slightly older VERY FRIENDLY college kids pack this place out at night its fun. The drug dealers who normally come from the Martin Luther king BLVD and apartments during the day hang in the parking lot at night. They say, "What's up?" or "are you looking" * with a up motion head tilt, a simple 'I'm good" will do if you are not wanting any drugs . A "what do you got" if you are looking for some drugs. So I been told. To be fair its been at least a year since I been there and it is a fun place for the adventurer.

I have yet to find a bar in Vegas that didn't give you free drinks while you play as many as you can drink. with 1 exception The Wynn. The bartender would not comp me no matter what I was playing 13.50 for my drink I didn't tip so sue me, tell me its not his fault. I DON'T CARE. U could be playing $5 video poker and pay 13 bucks or walk to the penny machine play nothing and get a free drink plus tip ps I over tipped the cocktail waitress.

Looks like folks will soon be able to make Frankie's drinks at home if they want to. They are publishing a book with the recipes in July (link below).

We stopped in today after a stop at Red Rocks Casino(which was very nice BTW).

Super dark and stuffy. I had the "bearded clam" and got it in one of the Tiki Mugs(drink + mug = $25)

We played 7/5 BP for 5 quarters, my wife had comped Ballast Point IPA's, I had the one drink and was done😀!

No, I did see that one of about the 10 or so offered.

My choice was a bamboo textured totem type. The wife liked that one the best.

It was one of the newer selections like FrankenStein.

I christened it with my drink and she boxed/bagged it for the trip home.
I don't know everything but I know a lot.
