So much for giving the people what they want.
So, how about it if a rule is adopted which would allow a forum member to set up a gofundme account with the limited purpose of soliciting / collecting money to bribe, I mean convince, admin to nuke someone?
It is said that everything has a price; what price peace of mind, how much to muzzle a braying jackass?
I would think five hundred dollars might be enough.
Hopefully admin will "name their price."
Ethics be damned: it's a new world.
I tend to read the posts of MDawg and find them of some interest as an example of the way that some people think. I am a very intelligent adult, IMO, and I know how to (a) keep an open mind and (b) process and think about these kind of claims. EvenBob has annoyed me greatly at times, but at other times I have found him to be an interesting and thoughtful poster. I have no problems with ChumpChange.
USPaperGames was one of the most annoying posters ever,IMO, but he is suspended and his situation/problems were larger than the WOV forum, and I am hoping that the forum was a positive factor in his getting help and moving forward in the future. I still don't know exactly what Nathan was but she had some entertainment value and didn't hurt anyone (until she melted down.) The amount of hatred directed her way by many other people (most of whom I respect, btw) has always been a mystery to me. tuttigym's posts were becoming oppositional and annoying, but the Wizard took appropriate action at an appropriate time.
If we have money that we are willing to spend on the WOV forum, here are some ideas about positive ways to spend it:
a) Collect tips for the moderators that do a good job. (OnceDear?)
b) Find a way to recruit new members to the forum
c) Bribe the Wizard to un-nuke selected former members who we generally agree contributed to the life of the forum.
d) Create a cash pool for contests (which also might attract more members)
WOV forum needs more members and more content, not fewer members and less content.
Very clever. Lots of winners, just like MDawg.
I voted for the nuking but requiring a vote option. Then we can have an audit of the vote. Instead of Cyber Ninjas, hire the Canadiens, who have entirely too much free time and comped airline tickets on their hands.

My bad, I meant to add those options but fumblefingers me did something to post it prematurely.
Back when we were still allowed to post about politics, I probably could have earned a lot of money that way. lol

Most all of the good posters left around 2019 out of protest of the mods allowing people to publicly post info about ongoing advantage plays.
Quote: gamerfreakI don’t think the nonsense threads/trolls are the reason for the forum’s decline.

Can you name ten good posters that left because of that? I'm hard pressed to think of more than five or six who left and two of them were posting less and less before that.
I'd think the lack of being able to go to casinos for the last fifteen months has more to due with the decline overall.
Lets face it, this years rookie class has been nothing to get too thrilled over.
Paying a weekly rate to levy a suspension might work.
The powers that be could certainly negotiate discounts on a case by case basis.

After your period of no posting, can we backroom you and then refuse payment? OR, can we refuse payment because we claim a machine malfunction?

After I receive payment, you can try or do whatever you want.

I think I have seen a similar poll before!! :)Quote: gordonm888Only poll I've ever seen where you can't vote NO. Just YES and HUH?
Quote: Caron36Could it be that with all the banning and other censorship, over the years yet, you guys were the few who all ended up on the "no exit" (to Hell) list? I mean, a lot of "living" went here, but, evidently, a lot less, because of it, in the real world.Quote: gordonm888WOV forum needs more members and more content, not fewer members and less content.
How come you know so much about this forum but you just joined yesterday? How come your name sounds just like a person who's been banned here forever? Karen-Caron?
