Of course.
Locate your casino in a better place.
Have more roulette tables than other casinos.
Offer European Wheels rather than American Wheels, at least in your High Limit area.

I don't know which poster you are referring to about beating the casino, but if he actually has a way, I see no reason why you should think he would ever tell you about it.

To beat the casinos follow these two steps:

1. Slip and fall on a wet floor.

2. Contact the law firm of Dewey, Cheatem & Howe.

I'm pretty sure he's referring to EvenBob or Illbeatyouraces. Those two clearly know how to beat roulette. And they won't share their secrets since they are quite profitable at what they do.............zzzzz......

I think the OP is talking about the last question in Ask the Wiz: Feb. 14, 2007
Card counting, playing during special promotions like 2:1 bjs, using lots of matchplays, and hole carding (don't tell Dan) just to name a few.

You forgot the step about: Get someone to wet the floor beforehand.

I think I could beat roulette.

Since I don't play roulette, I believe a have a short term chance of going up to a roulette table, bet $20, and walk away a winner. Since I wouldn't play roulette again, I could be a lifetime winner that way.

There is one dealer at my favorite casino who hates to deal roulette. I keep threatening him to go play it while he's dealing so that I can harass him.

There is no way to get a positive expected value out of roulette. However, if you want the highest odds of being up, play a single-zero game, bet on 35 of the 37 options, and hope that you don't suffer the 5.4% chance that you'll lose your shirt.

After doing that once, never play again. That gives you the best chances of saying you're a winner at roulette.

Of course there are ways to beat the wheel. On some wheel designs the player's edge is far higher than any other casino game availabe to the player.

For more info, all you have to do it read on the history of the wheel written by George Melas, a wheel engineer at TCS Huxley, or read an encyclopedia. The visual ballistic players, aka wheel watchers, use to devour the wheels. The edge available to them use to make card counting a single deck 3/2 game look like a waste of time.

The wheel watchers on the old wheels were over 100% at times. However, in order to grasp the edge on a game, you really need to specify the degrees of freedom.

Regarding your edge - I can only guess that you're using some kind of sort play reading the back printed edges of the cards.

Regarding the Miss. Stud: Then I'm not convinced that your edge is realized. I suspect that it's, at most, fleeting at times.

As for old wheels,

This isn't that hard to understand. The old wheels were junk.
When the ball came off the track, it hit a steep incline not
unlike Mt Everest. The pockets were deep and had high frets
in between them. The ball was snatched into one of them like
it was grabbed by a magnet. A drunken child could predict
where a ball would land with just a little practice. The wheels
they make today have almost no incline, no frets, and the
pockets are really just indentations in the wheel. The ball bounces
and jumps around like crazy, nothing like the old wheels.

That's not entirely true. Certain models and ball configurations trap the ball quite well.

Not the most popular wheels that are in most casinos
today. Maybe some wheel manufacturer in Outer Slovinia
hasn't caught on yet, but even they will change eventually.
