I see 8/6 jacks pays 99.4 on altimate x
Is that all you need to know is it’s 8/6 jacks or can there be different numbers with the multipliers that you need to know also

In my experience, the multipliers are pretty consistent within a game family.
Worry about the main paytable.
Personally, I think I prefer 7/5 BP, or a good deuces wild game in Ultimate X. BPD, DB, and DDB just don't generally amuse my personality for sessions longer than 1 hand.
Getting into the bonus streak and other variants of UX changes things yet again.
Best of luck.
May the cards fall in your favor.

I used to play a lot of $2 8/5 Bonus STP Triple Play at the Hilton in Vegas. It was the only game with a decent return where you could get lots of handle per day. Their promotions made the small -EV worth the gamble.
You can't know everything, but you can know anything.

I saw a slot technician booting up a down video poker machine next to me once. When he turns it on it goes to various menus to choose from. So I guess you can choose denominations and game selection etc. This was a bonus streak game. I saw an option for payback level. It gave 3 options low, medium and high. He picked high. This made sense because the game had the jacks or better version of 8/6 which I assume would be a high payout for a carnival video poker game. So basically I don’t think the casino can even change anything. It all comes preprogrammed by IGT. So if the JOB is 8/6 then you know the deuces and deluxe paytables are X. It’s all preprogrammed with the same paytable and multipliers. Of course it’s still probably a good idea to check all the numbers to make sure.
