I know JB is busy for the time being, but just another forum suggestion:
Allow users to filter the "recent threads" by forum. In other words, if I've unchecked the "Free Speech Zone" in my profile setup, I don't see threads from that forum in my recent-threads list. Just a thought.

Free Speech Zone threads are not supposed to appear in the "recent threads" list already.

I was gonna say something similar in the NAMBLA/River of Diarrhea thread.
I TOO use a bookmark to Recent Threads to come here.
I understand the purpose of the Free Speech Zone: An area where anything goes, where spectators are welcome. That's very different from email or private messages.
But I (and appratently Math Extremist) would not bother to read those threads, or to even know they exist.
THERFORE....
Can Free Speech Zone threads be so indicated, or by user preference, not listed?
Thanks.
By the way, the Free Speech Zone is a good idea - but only if it is used for it's intended purpose, and that posts and threads that belong there are not found elsewhere.

It seems that FSZ posts are appearing on the main page, but not in the longer "recent threads" list. Correct me if someone else has a different experience. They shouldn't appear in either. It is my intention that attention should not be drawn to the FSZ.

Ditto - that's why I posted, actually.
