Recently tried imgur to post pics. I found the black background appealing because it showed the image better.

However, I was wondering if there's a way to capture the image for posting vice using the link above or taking a screenshot (which one would have to upload again with a different app).

Does anyone have a suggestion, or perhaps other apps they like using for posting pics?

I'm a little confused as to what you are trying to do. You can copy an image on Imgur by right-clicking on the image and selecting "Save Image As" in the popup menu.

TDG - Hey! Thanks so much for your post.

Indeed I can click on an image uploaded to imgur, then with my iPad, the option to save is "Download Image".

Now I want to upload this to the WoV Forum which requires a formatting code since we can't directly paste pics in a post.

Before imgur, I used TinyPic, and that format gives me:

IMG]http://i67.tinypic.com/1109aoy.jpg[/IMG (I took out the brackets above before and after IMG so the formatting code shows.)

But that means triple work for me: (1) upload desired image to imgur, (2) download it to my iPad, (3) upload it to TinyPic to get the formatting code above to put the pic on the WoV Forum.

Perhaps there's an imgur step I don't know about that will provide the desired formatting code.

Or maybe you or other readers have another app to recommend for uploading pix?

I hope I clarified my dilemma for you or any reader who might have alternatives to suggest!

Are you trying to do this?

When you right-click on the image in Imgur, is there a "View Image" option? This will display the URL; use that in an [IMG] tag.
This one uses:
[IMG=https://i.imgur.com/y21rNEb.jpg]

Wow! Yes! That's exactly what I've been struggling to do!

With my iPad, I can't right-click the image in imgur, so there is no "View Image" option.

However, after experimenting, I can click on the image in imgur, click on Chrome, and then I get this url:

https://m.imgur.com/y21rNEb

I already tried posting with the img tag, and it won't work.

I noticed the url is the same as yours, except it has an "m" instead of an "i" in front of imgur, and no jpg.

Would you know if I always substitute the "m" with an "i"?

SO CLOSE, but not yet there. Thanks for all your time!

It "should" work with the m - usually an "m" at the beginning means it's a special version of the normal web page designed to work on mobile phones. For example, there's an "m.cnn.com" version of CNN's site.

Your latest IMG tag appears to work fine. What I assume you did earlier was, you did something like:
[IMG]https://m.imgur.com/y21rNEb.jpg[/IMG]
instead of:
[IMG=https://m.imgur.com/y21rNEb.jpg]
Only the second one works.

Alas, the second one doesn't work . . .

<IMG=https://m.imgur.com/y21rNEb.jpg> (I substituted < >. with [ ], just to display the syntax)

I have to substitute the "m" with an "i" (used to display pix below)

I'll manage somehow, but I appreciate all your time and attention!
