Once again you missed 2 or 3 much better plays that were there. Net-Pay and Globe Shopping machines were much much better than the cherry pies, comming soons, Dimond mines, bonus spins etc etc, AKA the Vision machines.Quote: JoeshlabotnikWell, Axel, one of the reasons I stopped was that APs started getting greedy and were beginning to burn out plays as fast as they appeared. Descending on a newly opened casino and hoping to find and pounce on a mistake is an example of that--it draws too much attention. For a while, in the 90s, there were as many good plays as there were APs, at least it seemed. But you know what? We didn't abuse good plays. We didn't play something to death, we treated the employees right, we milked the cow instead of killing it. But soon there came a thundering herd of wannabe APs whose mentality was slash-and-burn.
It became a self-fulfilling prophecy. They all thought you had to leap on a play and devour it like a pack of starving wolves because it would be gone soon anyway. And that attitude hastened the very results they were trying to prevent.
An an example, I remember when the Bellagio opened. At first, they had HUNDREDS of bonusing slots. It was a freakin' candy store. Then some players started hovering at the ends of banks of those machines, When a ploppy got off a Cherry Pie or whatever, they would DASH for the seat--sometimes two or three at once. Also, if a ploppy had a few cherries to go but only a few credits left, they would stare at the player as if willing them to quit before they cashed in the bonus. They eventually became so obnoxious, between harassing customers and getting into fights among themselves, that management tossed them out--AND removed all but a few of the bonusing machines.
Today, there are a LOT of APs out there trying to divide up a very small pie. The AP world is dog-eat-dog now, and that attitude and mindset pretty much ensure that no good play will last long, Jump on it. Play it to death. Burn it out. Move along. No discretion, no self-control. And yeah, most of the APs I've encountered recently are jumpy, surly, temperamental, and generally no fun to be around. Probably the nature of the pursuit more than anything else.
The NP and GS were linked bonus banking machimes and you didn't have to stalk anyone or fight for machines, just quietly sit down and mind your own business. Quietly cash in your coins and repeat.
Had you been working AP right you would not have had to even mess around fighting over cherry pies, gems, and stuff like that. There was much better stuff going on that didn't require a significant amount of risk and BR like you suggested before. As soon as the word spread about various bonus machines it was time to move on. Perhaps during slow times or when passing by on your way to something good. Or go somewhere where they had little or no competition with higher denominations.
IMO from everything you have said about your plays, and AP examples you just didn't really know what the you were doing. You were playing Tic tac toe while others were playing checker, chess and poker, after 8 years of that I can see why you quit. You didn't move on or move up to different and or better things.
When a Chinese restaurant in Vegas specifically caters authentic Chinese food, do U think they treat non-Asians differently? Dollar is green. Having the Asian taste is their specialty which allows them to compete. (Could also be an EB-5 requirement.) Non-Asian can go there to enjoy the Macau / Singapore atmosphere, saving you an international trip. No fear to visit there. When U go to Chinatown to enjoy fine meals, U get the same hospitality, Asian or not. If u don;t feel comfortable to walk in a Chinese restaurant or a Mexican restaurant, then don't go gambling at Lucky Dragon / El Cortez (?).Quote: RogerKintI see your point but bad example. None of those casinos specifically say they cater to one race of people over another. If Bellagio came out and said they only catered to Europeans, or Africans, non Europeans/Africans would wonder if they would feel comfortable there.

I have observed that the Bacc players tend to be a very superstitious group.. following a leader, and frowning on those who would disrupt the "flow". So BBB's advice to go with it and not against it is wise if you want to have a good time with the crowd.
The single zero roulette is a game changer and will knock the socks out from all the Vegas casino.
Genting Resort is a pioneer in this with their NYC Casino. It is now the top grossing gaming outlet in the USA with this EGT.
If it is not in Vegas yet it will be and change Vegas forever.
Looks like Macau will change Vegas nowadays and not the other way round.
Nonsense. Those casinos dont say they're open to get the white, black, Latino, Asian, European market, they just do. This casino has opened to attract Chinese from China. If those Chinese look around and not feel like they're there with lots of Chinese, there's going to be a problem. You know damn well the casino is taking note of your race there.Quote: UCivanWill Asian people feel comfortable at Bellagio, Planet Hollywood, Cosmopolitan, Aria, etc, feel treated the same, not nudged to just feel tolerated?
For Lucky Dragon, The COO is Mr. David Jacoby and the President and CEO is Mr. Andrew Fonfa, both are non-Asian. So as a non-Asian, you should feel welcome there.
Being welcome can be as little as being given the benefit of the doubt, having a door held for you, being spoken about with respect in a language you don't understand, all the way to comps being doled out irregardless of race.
It's not racist treating a non minority badly because they're non minorities and it's legally seen to be fine best I know. It's clear things the mass public may like are not offered, so they don't show up, take it from there.
New-York hotel in vegas has some single player, single wheel electronic roulette with minimum of 2$. I think they give really bad odds for numbers(30 instead of 36) but I the even-bets seemed to be okay.
I won few dollars and than got bored(don't like roulette without other players around) though.
What is the minimum on this machines? Are they single-player or multi player(much more fun)?
Dear wizard(or any other admin), we are waiting for you to review this casino! It looks like a very unique casino by vegas standards. Maybe on my next flight(not in 2017 sadly) I will visit there.
No your normal double zero roulette game is under serious threat with these new machines.
It is usually place in a stadium setting with over 100 terminals.
Notice the single zero at the left of the machine screen.

Usually a new opening usually makes the list
Maybe still waiting on the "official" opening

#2 Ellis Island Steak Deal "The complete steak dinner at Ellis Island remains in the #1 spot this month"
#4 Beer-Casino Royale. Note that the $1 special includes Michelob & Michelob Light, NOT Ultra as listed in the Top Ten Values. The special has never included Ultra, which is a premium product in the AB InBev lineup.
Side note, Casino Royale is the number 1 seller of Michelob in the United States.
Quote: BTLWII walked there from the Venetian tonight. Place is dead for 9PM on a Saturday night. Maybe a dozen machine plays available with only a few being worth your time. But IMO those machines will be played so little that this will mostly be a waste of time unless there are other things going on there.
Plenty of baccarat tables for stuffed monkeys to work their magic
We missed visiting the new Lucky Dragon Casino on our recent Apr 2017 trip. Shucks! Has anybody been there since the Dec 2016 opening? Some comments or pics to share?Quote: lllIt needs a forum :)
I went there yesterday. It's in it's soft opening right now. Grand opening December 3rd.
Quick review: it's amazingly beautiful. All Asian & lucky red/gold themed throughout. Small elegant space, fantastic restaurants.
Mostly baccarat. $10 gets you a face-up game played on a midi table. $50 gets you a Macau-style game in the high limit room where you can bend the cards. $100 gets you a Macau-style game in the cavernous VIP room on the second floor, which is more private.
Blackjack pays 3-2, no surrender, no RSA, yes DS. I think that makes it 0.66% house advantage. No craps. Casino Hold 'em, Asia poker, 3 card poker. I didn't see Pai Gow or Pai Gow Poker or Sic Bo, but I assume they were there somewhere since it's Asian themed. Slots are the giant screen type. Less of the floor is slots than is typical in Vegas. The VP is a great deal. Jacks or Better pays 9/5 for 25 cents throughout the casino, including at the bars! Staff is mostly Asian and all are very friendly.
With my Asian heritage, I thought I might blend in well with the crowd, and try to enjoy the 3:2 DD BJ described by the OP. I wanted to go on what they advertise as "Lucky Wednesday" for the best combination of joss!

Quote: ThatDonGuyReports are showing up on Facebook that some people have received E-mails saying there are going to be cash drawings in the immediate future, and the thought is that they will be for the money in the progressives in light of the foreclosure auction on 2/6.
I received one of these emails. Except for the drawing happening in the hotel lobby, there is no indication that the property is in distress.
