Posting a link to a thread

If you wanted to post a link to a thread, so that when a person clicks on the link they are taken to the exact message within some different thread, how would you do that? (I want the person to be looking at the message directly within the thread, with all the messages before it and after it--actually being "in" the thread as opposed to just viewing a post.)

You see that "Permalink" at the top right of each post?

That's the link to the post. Right-click it to copy the link.

The paste it.

For example, the link to this post:
https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/info/help/21613-posting-a-link-to-a-thread/#post446642

After posting, I copied the link then edited this post to paste it in....

I had thought that the Permalink was the key, but I'm on an I-phone, and when I touch it, and touch it again (trying to get it to do something) nothing happens.

PRESS on the link for several seconds and a menu appear when you let go. Then select copy.

Right after I sent you the message that tapping on it did nothing, I went to a post and tried what you later (here) suggested, since I then knew I was on the right path. Yes it works, I just sent a link to the Wiz.

One important distinction when trying to post a link for those reading this thread. You have to open it another browser window to get the permalink then go to the other browser window that you are going to post the permalink in. Otherwise you won't post the link, just some gobldegook about the link.
