Whatever the case, I deny anything to do with it.

It is very strange
I have had this happen many times.Quote: terapinedI've been in several Wi-Fi spots where WOV is blocked but its always been simply due to the site being related to gambling.

Quote: WizardStrange. I think the NY Courts disapprove of you patronizing gambling sites on their WiFi and the redirect is their way of saying to get back to work.

What about body building forums? I don't know what kind of software this forum uses.....but perhaps forums using this kind of software are blocked? I'd imagine other websites, like facebook/twitter/etc. would be blocked as well.
What about porn sites? Are those blocked too?

I'll have to check next time
(What bodybuilding forums do you frequent?)
So yes it sometimes happens that free WiFi has restrictions. Also, of course, beware of rogue freebies grabbing your details - I've been receiving junk mail from Hungary for years!

I'm assuming bodybuilding.com its the biggest forums on squats and oats. Also lots of brohamming.
I assume it is pretty much the same for state, city and other local governments. The governments don't want to be embarrassed.
You usually cannot access video games as well.
There is not a single master list of such porn and gambling sites -and if there were it would need to be updated very frequently. I imagine the list of banned sites is built up from searching on keywords and that the word "Vegas" is one such keyword.
