How do spambots get in?
Let's say on the sign-up page there was a 3 digit number in each corner of the page. So, 9 digit number total. In order to confirm "human" you need to take each 3 digit number and enter in the correct sequence in a confirmation box as single number.
For instance:
Top Left corner: 452
Top R: 570
Bot L: 745
Bot R: 116
Enter: 452570745116 to confirm
Wouldn't that be beyond robot comprehension to figure out such instructions?

I have to tell you, this Forum gets much less Spam than the other one I used to Moderate. In our case, I'd say the Spam posts are so few and far between that it's not even worth making new Members go through the hassle of a Turing Test of any kind. JB or Wizard may disagree, though, just my opinion.

I agree. We've never had a spam-bot problem, but sometimes a human will post spam by hand. There is nothing we can do about that except flag them off the site.
