I noticed this as a link in the upper right corner of all the posts.

It is the link that you can use to find an exact post if you want. you just use the permalink.

For example this is the link to the first Golden Balls 2 post

I notice you can use it to gain a bookmark ; right-clicking brings up a menu
the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!”   She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder

Still not sure how you use it. I can insert a link without using it.

It's not exactly of daily use. But how wouly you link to the 3rd post in this very thread ? The URL in the address bar of your browser only gives you the URL of this thread.

As an example, I use it regularly in the Casino Chip of the Day thread. The first post of that thread has a table that lists all of the casinos that have been represented in the thread so far. Each name is linked to the post where that casino's chip is shown and discussed, followed by related posts from others. If I didn't have a convenient way to include the permalinks, I couldn't provide such a table, and anyone looking for a particular chip would have to search through the entire 215 pages (so far) of that thread.

OK I figured it out now. You right click it and select "Copy Shortcut". You can then paste the shortcut as needed.

Thanks for the responses.
