Slight bug
As you can see, Nareed's name is in read next to "Thread starter," but but in the column showing the last poster. Don't know if you care about this, but I thought I'd share it.

Threads are stored in one database table, and posts are stored in another database table. (Members are stored in yet another.) In order to determine who made the last post for a particular thread, you have to search through all of the posts for the specified thread, in date order, taking the most recent one; and then look up the record corresponding to the member who made that post. (There are multiple ways to go about doing this.)
However, to reduce strain on the database, the system saves information about the most recent poster in the thread's record, rather than having to query every post for every thread on the page. Every time a new post is made to a thread, the information about the most recent poster is updated on that thread's record.
When the latest post was made to the thread in question, Nareed was not yet suspended, therefore the name does not appear in red.
