Forum Slowness

I am aware, as most everyone else probably is, of the increasing slowness of the forum, especially during peak hours. I am looking into this problem, and will use this thread to keep everyone updated.
There will be a few minutes of downtime sometime later today (the 19th) so that I can make some changes that will hopefully help.

A change was made that may help improve the situation.
If you continue to experience frustrating slowness after 2:40 AM Pacific (5:40 AM Eastern) today - especially during peak time - please reply to this thread to let me know unless several people have already done so. Note that the forum home page and the recent threads pages will always take somewhat longer to load than other pages should.

Didn't know if it was just me but I've had trouble loading the forum recently. It's taking more time than usual, just wondering - thanks.
