Quote: billryanThey should move it to the Sam Boyd Stadium/Silver Bowl park.
Why, wouldn't that be so much smaller?

I don't think so, and it would be less intrusive. The Silver Bowl runs six or seven rugby games at the same time, so its at least seven football fields wide. Lots of parkland and lots of parking.

My guess is they like a more closed in environment with less ingress and egress.
How would that be less intrusive? EDC is huge and already located decently far from town up at the Speedway. Boyd/Silver Bowl would be much worse and too small for the full festival, plus would cause horrible traffic on local streets.Quote: billryanI don't think so, and it would be less intrusive. How huge? From Wikipedia:
Quote:In 2009, EDC became a two-day event, and in 2011, a three-day event that drew 230,000 people. In 2015, it drew more than 400,000 over three days (134,000 per day).[6][7][8] In 2018, EDC Las Vegas expanded the festival to include an on-site camping experience. Recent iterations of the festival have featured eight stages, each with a unique set and specific genre of EDM.[9] 18 carnival rides, four ferris wheels, and a staff of more than 5,000 people make up the event at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway
