No joke - the first time I ate at the South Point buffet last October, two guys nearly came to blows over who was in line first to be served at the Italian station! Security had to be called.

Calm down dudes, there is enough lukewarm pizza to go around!

Under the Clark County reopening plan (you should all read it, it's online) supermarkets can resume sampling stations. I guess this really refers to Costco.

So perhaps in your case, the server will let you sample the fish on a toothpick.

Anything to keep you guys happy... since adjusting is too much of a burden.

But frankly how did you get the tiniest portion of fish before? I only remember servings pre sliced? Did you rip one of those servings apart just to sample it?

Not sure why I am responding to your trolling post.... but my favorite buffet in Vegas is Makino. They have sashimi as a choice.... which (saving you a Google) is small pieces of raw fish. It is quite easy to take one small piece.

As far as adjusting.... what would possibly make you think Iím not adjusting? I adjust quite easily to the constraints that society throws my way. Adjusting doesnít mean liking it, or thinking it makes any sense.

Fish is fish. And then there's sushi.

Next time say sushi.

Next time, do research. Sushi and sashimi are two different things.

You may be right.

But this post takes the cake for me. I see that there is more nitpicking and derailing and hijacking of threads here than there are targeted discussions.

So to quote a phrase from my favorite TV show (Shark Tank), I'm out.

Argue all you want about side issues. Nitpick all you want. Stuff in your political agendas into every discussion all you want. Just carry on. But without me.

I'll stick to discussions about gaming and casinos, hopefully with others who don't need to discuss sashimi, politics and how big their keystrokes are.

You win.

from a disinterested third party observer itís pretty clear you started the nitpicking.

Nevada Governor Sisolak says the goal is to have a 100% reopening of the State by June 1st. This may also mean an end of limits and controls on casinos but it would be up to the Gaming Commission. The NGC says employee vaccinations will determine what limitations remain.

Would it also mean an end to the plastic barriers?

But masks might still be with us.

Isn't it obvious from this post that the discussion is only allowed to be about buffets?

Alan was upset after he started to bet the yo on the 19th roll........

Back to the topic...... I do take very small samples at a buffet...... there are many options that allow such..... I won't rip a small piece off a slice of pizza, for example, but for me the fun of a buffet is trying lots of stuff, and then figuring out what I want to fill up on. I think there are many customers that like buffets for the same reason.

I am hereby apologizing to Alan. He is one of my heroes, actually, in that he actually got married at a craps table.

EDC was thinking of getting a jump on everybody with a mid-May event, but just announced a move to late October. Maybe they could have moved to, say, late June, but the first few EDCs in Vegas were in June, and it was considered too hot, which prompted the move to May.
