Indian owned Turning Stone Casino near Syracuse NY will open June 1. They have most of the precautions in place and you can only enter the casino with proof you live within 125 miles of the casino.

Hopefully, demonstrators show up to protest this denial of their basic rights to infect and be infected. As most of the minority residents live in and around NYC, this is an obvious attempt to exclude them.

I'm within 75 miles. I don't think they'll have $5 tables though (likely will have $10 tables). A couple smaller Syracuse casinos have $5 tables.

I went to the local slot club today. They gave people a number (1 to 40) and took your temperature, name & phone number. They'll call you when your number is available and you have 5 minutes to arrive, so people are sleeping in their cars in the parking lot waiting their turn (hot!). They had 1 machine lit, 2 machines turned off repeatedly for distancing purposes, so a favorite machine might be unavailable, but since the screens were dark, I don't necessarily know what games they turned off. Saw a Willie Nelson machine with a $650K+ progressive and an Outlaw Jackpot of $1199. A woman who was leaving and came to talk said she won $400, but the person next to her won $50,000 at the same time. I played 3 machines and lost $19.83 and quit. I had to wait an hour for the numbers they were calling to go from 11 to 40, back to 1, and up to 3. I did not bother with any slot club, and there were no free beverages. Bring your own mask or you won't get in. This weekend, they are taking reservations. You can reserve like an hour and a half to play up until midnite. Only 31 people allowed to play at one time. Normal maximum occupancy is 99 people. There's a few penny machines there where the jackpots are over $10,000. I'd probably stick with the higher payback 1 coin dollar 9/5 or 8/6 Jacks or Better video poker for an $800 Royal, but those are somewhere else, like Turning Stone.

Sounds like Union Springs? I haven't been following, but they are ignoring NY State laws/orders/Cuomo because they are on an "Indian reservation"?
Last summer I went with wife and another couple to Geneva on the Lake, maybe half hour drive to the casino? Wife LOVED it so maybe a return trip...?

I would still classify that as a political statement

The post calling people "gun nuts" was not called out by management as a political statement so why would this be?

Believe it or not there are some people who own guns of both parties

Claiming only one political party owns guns is not true. There may be differences of opinions on laws etc.

Saying a political party name (or naming them by mentioning a word that rhymes) is clearly making a political statement.

But that's my opinion. I am not a moderator

I would expect the USA will have presidents die like flies over the next 5 years because of COVID-19. There will be so many William Henry Harrison presidencies coming soon, unless your name is Boris.

It's funny how the only people complaining about bill deblasio are people who don't live in NYC.

I don't know if that's backed up by any polling, but I read the NY Post. Seems to me that some folks in NYC are not happy. I don't have any numbers to back that up, but "the only people" implies that 100% of the people who live in NYC are not complaining. I don't think that's true.
