Have you tried 22 tonight? I said 22.

Happy 10th Anniversary, WoV!
2009 was around the time my visits to Vegas started slowing, so I imagined being there through all the detailed hotel and show reviews. I especially enjoyed all the computations of actual play, expected loss, and comps earned. And all the photos and member trip reports!
Thank you for a decade of great information!

Happy 10th Anniversary WoV!
Crazy as it sounds, this site changed my life. I found it after I took a cruise from Miami to Barcelona, then on to Paris by land, in April-May 2013. I spent the cruise mostly at the UTH table, with no idea how to play the game, and lost my ass (but still had a great time).
Once back in the US, I Googled UTH strategy. First result (and great SEO work, Wiz and co.!) was a discussion on this forum about the game.
Series of "Aha!" and "D'oh!" later, and I'm combing the archives for weeks, learning so much about all aspects of all the games.
And the very active (at the time) Game Inventors Corner was the mother lode for me. Credit also to Roger Snow, who was running talent-search activities here at the time, and PaiGowDan, who was offering all kinds of assistance openly, to attract a great group of inventors and pros for in-depth discussions. Just wow. I said, "I can do that!" And I was off on a new adventure.
So here I am years later, career change into gaming-business activities, dozens of new friends from here, traveling new places, met more than 130 of you in person, and especially all the new perspective on how to play my favorite games smarter and better.
I'm very grateful for the opportunity and the wealth of experiences and relationships. Thanks, WoV. Thanks, Mike. It's been a wild ride.
And, as long as I'm reflecting and remembering, a fond shout-out to PaiGowDan, BigKahuna, and steeldco. All taken from WoV and those who loved them too soon.

10 years! Congrats!
Like Babs I found this site by accident. I was searching google for something to do with chip collecting and I clicked on the chip thread that Doc started. I spent a couple months in that thread before checking out the rest of the forum. 4.5 years later I still check this site every day. I’ve met around 40 members in person and I stay in touch with 7-8 at least a couple times a week.
Thanks Mike!

Steeldco died? Thats awful. Never interacted with him individually but I was recently wondering what happened to his stock pick updates. :(
Only 10 years old? Let me know when it’s 40 or EB gets to a mil posts.
But seriously, kudos to Mike, the mods, the new owner, and everyone I’ve met from here for keeping it going.
