I just got an email from Bob. He wants to know if it was safe to come back. I told him Yes .. No... Maybe. I have no idea. Mikes House Mikes Rules. I mean I earned my first suspension. I was in a black mood. As bad as when I was collecting in the early 60s and a guy stiffed me with counterfeit $20s. Hey. back then it was a big bill. Gas was 30 cents a gallon. Wonder if he use those same bills to pay his hospital bill ?

Anyway the first time I was GUILTY as charged. Now the second time WTF . Keep your finger off the trigger Mission Check my earlier thread Welcome To Fruita. I mean I asked a blonde is she was a dumb blonde . BOOM 3 days WTF This same blonde had no problem with that earlier. She even posted a LOL comment in reference to a dumb blonde joke from me. No disrespect to Mike or his lieutenants

Don't say "Mommy Mommy , make him stop sticking his tongue out at me " in a PM. Hey, I can take criticism. I get a lot and rightly so. Especially when SooPoo Paradym or Math Extremist point out the errors of my ways. But this forum is almost too nicey nice now.
I almost miss MISTER Lubin and his remarks. Although I still am pissed about his mind reading act after Focus Group 1.

Isnt there a Free Speech section where anything can be said as long as it isnt federally or NV illegal????? I dont see it being used much so I wonder if its for real.

That sounds about right. I've also heard some murmurings of disagreement about my opinion of Four Queens here on the Forum, and have, in fact, inserted a few addendums into my Review of The D.

I guess I should specify that all I am doing is reporting what I saw and experienced. I'm not saying that every room at Four Queens is horrible, or necessarily that nobody should ever go there, I'm simply saying that, in a sample size of one, I would not give Four Queens a second chance with respect to staying there unless the room was free. If the room was free, then I would give them a second chance, but I'd be prepared to immediately leave and go over to The D to get a room there, instead.

There are probably people on here who have stayed at Four Queens dozens of times over many years, and I will not hesitate to say that you can put more value on their opinion of the rooms than you can put on my opinion. They have more experience staying there. I had one. It was bad. That's all I'm saying.

Four Queens is still a great place to gamble, they offer good games, especially if one is a low-roller. Magnolia's is a pretty good place to eat, lots of value, nice coupons and they were better this trip than they were in my December trip. The bartenders and cocktail waitresses are all nice, the speed of drink service (at machines) is probably slightly slower than average. El Cortez, The D, Binion's and Fremont (in my experience) have faster drink service at machines...though Binion's is sometimes hit or miss.

I'm not saying Four Queens is a horrible property, I'll pop in and out of there many times each and every time I visit Vegas...I simply wouldn't give them another chance on me staying there unless I get a free offer.

That's hilarious. I've never stayed there, but I do have a room May 4-9 because it's one of about 4 places that DON'T have the resort fee. I'm renting a car, and plan to be all over town for the week, maybe just playing poker in the evenings at GN or Binions, or UTH at Golden Gate where the girls are sweeeeeet. I'll take some pics and post my critique as it happens.

If you have the Las Vegas Advisor, there is a coupon for $32 weekdays and $42 weekends at Golden Gate, and if you book using that coupon, then you do not have to pay the resort fee. At least, that's what they said when I called yesterday.

Further, and there are those who disagree with me about this, but I would not choose to book a place (or specifically choose not to book a place) because it does or does not have a resort fee. Personally, I just consider the resort fee as part of the room rate because, if a specific property did not charge a resort fee, then that property would simply have a higher room rate.

I have no opinion of the rooms at Golden Gate as I have never stayed there, but I do think the $32/$42 thing is a very strong offer if it can be booked with no resort fee. I also don't know what Golden Gate's policy on the matter is, but if they have the same policy as The D, you will have to purchase wireless Internet if you are not paying the resort fee. My AT&T 4G network worked well enough for my purposes at The D, and I assume, would have worked at Golden Gate.

I'm glad you have found each other you are to sensitive when it comes to him. He is a big boy, You really should let him talk for himself, it's kind of creepy. You act as if I was saying something horrible, like when people had no clue if he was dead or alive and made fun of the situation. ( a testament to the fact NO ONE knows about DT. I think even you didn't know he was posting there EVERYDAY)

Did you read the tittle of this thread? perhaps you missed the fact he PMed someone WANTING to come back. There are more then 15000 reasons im not buying what you are selling. The popularity of the site has no bearing on why I post here, I came here for the content and stayed because it has lead to good things. It draws you in to other conversations. Now for the lie. Buzz never said that EB "WANTED" to return. He was simply asking if the climate here has changed. I don't have anything against EvenBob at all. Sometimes, I enjoy his participation, sometimes not so much. I have appreciated some advice and thoughts that he has shared via PM, but I am not going to engage in discussion via PM shadowing site discussions just because he has some drama thing going on. And I think it is very odd to have some other member post what Bob is feeling or wants to know, as this thread began. It's third party discussions that are shades of 3rd grade. Things are different over there. I did check the rules as I'm much more colorful and not as "business like" when talking about my own activities, and the most recent updates here haven't been implemented there. There is also little to no "management" to speak of, completely the result of having no drama.

Strict rules, different rules, or no rules at all, DT still wouldn't be a problem. Everyone over there still talks about the same off topic things as they do here, but it never gets "third grade". And the big posters over there are the same opinionated, talkative, tell-it-like-it-is people they are here, and still, no problems. A difference of opinion is recognized as just that, and then we move on.

It's odd. Even right now there's a conversation about cultural differences and stereotypes. It's evolving into a history lesson and possible reasons of why it came to be. We've had similar conversations here. Took all of two posts until it turned into 5 pages of racism.

The first quoted statement is seriously flirting with trolling.

To the second paragraph, perhaps people aren't leaving the site necessarily because of the Rules themselves or the enforcement thereof, but rather the pedantic and puerile complaining that has accompanied the recent changes.

The point is that the whole matter is come and gone with exception to a few people clinging to a point that was never especially important, and only borderline valid. At the end of the day, this is Wizard's Forum and we simply operate in the way that we feel best benefits the Forum with loose guidance from Wizard.

Four Suspensions have occurred this month, and from what I can tell, they've all been for personal insult...are not controversial...and would have occurred even under the old Rules. I know this is essentially about Beethoven, and that's fine, but Beethoven will have the chance to speak for Beethoven in a few days, and if he does, I will personally address his concerns.

WOW! kind of dramatic Don't you think? We are talking about if a guy who wants to post on this site or not. I didn't bet on this death, I didn't say much about that, I thought it was over the line if he truly was sick like you claimed. Are you claiming Bob highly values posting on forums (which is it, Bob values posting here or not?) Not feeling like getting suspended here and I have stayed out of this, but I would like to know who you think are racists here. As far as I know race has never come up here and while there may be a diverse crowd here, most don't post about it and I really don't care about it.

Far too many good people on here to have to deal with nonsense like you and Bob seem to enjoy.

So if you are going to make claims like this, put the facts up here or just act like Bob and take the Wizards advise and don't let the door hit you on the way out.
