Greetings everyone.
I just implemented a change to how you are alerted when you have unread private messages. Previously, if you clicked "No" to the question "Do you want to go to your inbox now?" the system would bug you on every page until you finally read the message.
Now, you will only be alerted once if you have one or more new messages that were received after the last time the system alerted you.
Additionally, if you have unread private messages, the quantity of unread private messages will appear in parentheses in the "Private Messages" link underneath the main menu.
As always, if you encounter any problems with the change, please let me know.
Thanks!

Great changes JB. Trying to temporarily ignore a new PM was an annoyance before. this sounds much better.

Cool.
I meant to talk to you about that when we met at G2E.
My comments would be to add a button to open in a new tab, as well as a "Remind me later" button where later is after an hour (or day or whatever).
As long as we're talking about feature changes, here's a minor bug that I'd like to see fixed:
When the new post in a thread is from a member who I chose to block, the page opens, but opens at the top. I guess the post anchor point is within the part of the post that is blocked. It needs to be part of the message that the post is blocked.
Thanks.

JB,
Thanks so much for making the change. I think it's a definite improvement.

Jb This will not affecy X -rated PM's I assume ?
Shed not for her
the bitter tear
Nor give the heart
to vain regret
Tis but the casket
that lies here,
The gem that filled it
Sparkles yet

Beyond awesome, JB!
Though I never made the suggestion, I did have this problem with the WoV Picks game in trying to read threads. As many of you might have guessed, I receive many PM's every week with Picks, to which I respond with a, "Got them!" It'll be nice to only address those when initially logging in and then again before I log out.

Same problem here and I thought that a long time ago JB addressed and put it on "the list" but I may be mistaken. Since I have a couple of the most prolific posters blocked as I consider them trolls it is annoying to always go to the top of the thread since one of them posts his nonsense to virtually every thread.
