Possible WoVCon / SHFL Focus Group combination

Roger Snow indicated in another thread that there probably will be another SHFL focus group in a couple months (sounds like he's shooting for sometime in May).

Therefore, I would hope that WoVCon planning can be kept on hold until Roger sets a date, then set WoVCon around that date....

I think this sounds like a good idea. I'm not a game designer, but I'd love to meet Roger and this seems like a good way to get more people together at one time. We also need to make sure that things work out so that this occurs at a time when Kathy is in the US. I think that's late May to early June.

I mentioned it because I missed the WoVCon by one week last year.

Keep in mind that he has an empire to run. It's very unlikely that he would attend the WoVCon. Last year, a month beforehand, I had set up a lunch for after the focus group, at a place about 1 mile from their office. I had invited Roger, but he declined.

It is also questionable whether he would allow WoVCon members to attend the focus group. There wasn't a lot of extra space in that room last year. Then again, maybe he'd allow us to use the room after everyone else leaves. I wouldn't mind doing my demo one more time for WoV members. Or maybe as a dress rehearsal, the day before. Hmmm....

Love the idea!

Perhaps if entertainment was available, Roger could free up some time to attend.

There's only vagueness about the date :)

Odds are high I can get away in May or June, but not certain. I should know for sure in March... Sorry. If it helps any, I've missed some rather good flight offers because of the uncertainty already (no, I dind't think it would help)
