New Feature: Block Threads

The forum now offers the ability to block threads. Go to the thread you want to block, and locate the link near the top of it called "Block Thread". You'll be taken to your list of blocked threads, which you can also access from your Preferences page.

Threads that you have blocked will:
1) not appear in the list of the top 5 threads on the main forum page
2) not appear in the list of threads with recent activity on the main forum page
3) not appear in the list of recent threads
4) not show you any of its posts if you try to view the thread

There are a couple of areas where links to threads you have blocked will still appear:

1) on the main forum page, within a category, if it was the most recently replied-to thread for a particular forum
2) in search results if a blocked thread matches the search criteria

But again, if you click on the link to a blocked thread, you won't see any of its posts.

Thank you and Wiz, a very good feature for many reasons.

Great feature .... there are a couple I am so tired of seeing whenever I open the forum.

What a godsend. I have a sprained clicking finger
from blocking every thread with craps or math in
title. And every other thread I have no interest in
and never read. Has to be 75 so far. If its was Xmas I'd
send JB a present.. Cause he just gave us one.

at last, the complete and utter banishment
of any more threads, whose title contains
the game so dreaded by the majority of educated gamblers...

I'm a kid in a candystore with this new feature.
I bet I have 125 threads blocked so far. Already
blocked at least 10 today.

I'm blocking this thread.

Just in the over two months since we got this feature
I've blocked over 650 threads. I bet I block 80% of
the threads when they come up.
