Ralph said the name plate fell off years ago. But did any other car have that push button automatic transmission up there on the dash board ??

Early Plymouth Valiants had push-button auto transmitions.

While you are Dan, will you have enough room in your vehicle for Ralph's hound dogs.

They require air conditioning.

How much to ship to Cincinnati? I *might* be interested if it's still available. I would like to see a picture, though.

My first car had the same. Looked like an eight-track deck, but was actually the gear shift. So easy to use that I could never understand why it didn't catch on. Like the way that cell phones work in Mexico -- if you want to put more time on your phone, go up to the cashier at any phone store, convenience store, or superstore and tell the cashier who your carrier is, what your phone number is, and how much money you want to spend, and then get a text saying airtime has been added before paying. So simple that I don't understand why it isn't like that in the US.

The Power Flite transmissions went out for the same reasons that all things that work well go out. Popular opinion and money. They cost a little over a $1.00 more to make than the automatic transmissions similar to those we see today, and furthermore, people who had been using automatic transmission more similar to those we see today were hesitant to switch over to Chrysler-manufactured vehicles due to a lack of familiarity with the system. Driver's Ed schools wouldn't touch them.
