I assume that Circus Circus is not labeled on the map, but MGM has always distanced themselves from CC. I guess they are affiliated with M-Life, but they are not mentioned on the M-Life site.

CC Card is separate from what I understand. Offers are totally different they still have me in the system from the mid 90's.

Yes it is a different card, but the "good" news is that you can also use it at Slots A Fun.

Circus Circus? I hadn't noticed till you pointed it out. But that purple section could only be the Adventuredome, so, yeah, Circus Circus.

But now I noticed several things. What ELSE is shown but not named?

At first I thought the building between CC and Mirage was a former MGM property: Treasure Island. But, no. It's Fashion Show Mall. TI is on the south side of Sands Ave.

But what about the OTHER unnamed building? The one on the east side of the strip, south of the unnamed Sands Ave? That's either a misshapen Sands Convention Center, or an oversized misplaced Harrah's parking garage.

Hmmm....

I'd imagine Slots A Fun may feel a little embarrassed about that connection.

I believe THEHotel is no longer associated with MB. When I was flying out of LV on Sat. night, I saw that the sign for it was gone from the building.

THEHotel will absolutely still be associated with MGM but it will be rebranded as a luxury hotel all on its own. It will be managed by MGM but will carry the Delano name......as far as I can understand.

Maybe I'l completely off my rocker, but I thought Delano was the top floor(s) of THE hotel.

When I left in 2012 they were going to change the entire thing, including the entire lobby, check in area and coffee shops downt here to the contemporary white shadings of Delano Miami.....

I know some thigns have changed in the interim but I think MGM will still be managing the property

that Delano link leaves no doubt. The site has a dropdown list of MGM properties, which includes both the Delano and THEHotel. Also it has Gold Strike in Jean (which I learned was MGM in the Wizard's review a while back) and the Railroad Pass in Henderson. That's a WTF. Was that won in a poker game?

THE Hotel is definitely still associated with Mandalay Bay. However, it be being renovated and re-named to Delano. They are going to a Miami / South Beach theme.

THE Hotel is very nice but the rooms are very old and in need of a renovation. They are not modern at all. Old TVs (flat screen but not HD), and nothing in the room is electronic or automated (curtains, etc). I like it there a lot, but if you want to use the TV it is not great.

The renovation is ongoing, and some of the suites have already been renovated. When they have all been renovated, the hotel will change name. I think that the prices will also rise slightly. I have not stayed at one of the newly renovated suites, but I talked to someone who did. He did not like it. He said that everything was too white and bright for his tastes. I can believe it -- they sent me a (very very good) offer to stay there when the renovation is complete and the front of the mailer was white lettering on white cardboard.
