When should one reveal optimal play strategy to players, for a new blackjack game not yet installed in casinos, but available for free play online?

I don't see any reason to hide it, you should want players to play a game well and believe they are making the right decision most of the time. House edge will do its thing over time, players will find their own reason not to follow it, and any AP's can figure it out on their own anyways.

I tend to agree.

If the game is the one I guess it is, there are two choices - play or surrender. The strategy chart should be pretty compact.

People are always free to act on their hunches, despite the best advice.
May the cards fall in your favor.

I as the game's inventor was afraid a casino wouldn't want that information revealed during or before a field trial was complete. Don't know what is the norm, and don't want to hurt chances of getting game in somewhere. I as a player would love all the info on how to play a game better revealed upfront.

I know I've seen a handful of new games with the strategy printed on the back.of the rack card.
May the cards fall in your favor.

Frank, i feel like your definition of quick rules and my definition of quick rules are completely different...

just played it and am completely lost tbh i commend you for getting this far but at first glance there is too much thinking to be done... i just dont understand why i would want to keep hitting past 17 AUTOMATICALLY?

It's not permitted in other no-bust games, too advantageous. I mean, who wouldn't want to increase their bet with a 17 or greater, with chance of increasing total without fear of busting? Maybe I should title different, then quick rules, it was just rules that included the bet descriptions, instead of separate table. Basically, you make a bj bet and aj ante bet. You decide if you want to play or surrender your aj hand. Then you act on bj hand. If you played aj play bet, dealer automatically hits your aj hand til 21 or more; after your bj action is complete. If more than 21, total before exceeding is used for that hand. Dealer acts on their hand as normal, if exceeds 21, total before exceeding is used against your aj hand, and regular bust or 17 thru 21 against your bj hand. If dealer doesn't exceed 21, that total is used against both your aj and bj hand.

Imagine getting 20 in blackjack, and you get to basically double down, and have chance to make 21 without the chance of busting.

I invented a game about 20 years ago that was a BJ derivative that to this day I still think is good.

Simple concept, for and additional 20% of your main bet you could buy the opportunity to never bust. If you are a $10 bettor you would place a secondary amount of $2 in another betting spot. The dealer collects the $2 and if you bust you are assigned the total of 17 and you are still in the game. It really made some interesting strategy deviations where you would always hit 17, most of the time hit 18, and sometimes hit 19.
At my age, a "Life In Prison" sentence is not much of a deterrent.

I like that a lot. Wonder how countable it is.

I don't recall Blackjack Switch ever advertising a strategy. Obviously a computer can go through all the possible initial possibilities and work out what is the correct way to play and from there derive the House Edge. The problem with some games is few people know, let alone can remember at the table, the exact strategy. This enables a game with a low House Edge to be offered by the casino.

I also remember a game being discussed, https://wizardofvegas.com/forum/questions-and-answers/advice/36630-evolution-lightning-blackjack/ where a long strategy was created but it was difficult to work out various probabilities for the bonuses, and hence the House Edge.

I think the game inventor needs to show the House Edge is accurate, either by determining the correct strategy or using a brute force program to work it out. In some cases simulations, presumably they dynamically work out the strategy, is the easiest way to analyse a game. Obviously they have to convince the casino (and/or authorities) that their House Edge value is correct.

@charliepatrick, I attached the math analysis to the auto jack 21 com page. You can find the strategy there. You only have to remember what to do when dealer's up-card is a 8, 9, 10-point or ace. Other than that Play everything else.
