Hi All,

I wasn't sure how to search older threads, so apologies if this is a duplicate request. I am a first time table game inventor, with a patent pending. Two questions:

1. I would like to develop an app version of the game for marketing purposes (i.e., it would simulate game play without wagering). Does anyone have a developer they can recommend?
2. While I performed my own rudimentary analysis of the house edge, I understand that for regulatory purposes a formal mathematical analysis will likely be required. To that end, is it possible to use the data generated by my app to serve this purpose?

Thank you all and hope everyone is staying safe.

You’ll want to get the mathematical analysis first before doing any other step with your game.

Additionally, you have to consider what you’re trying to accomplish with the app. If your intent is to use to as a way to market it to casinos, you may be better off just making a YouTube video to demonstrate the game. Also, I’ve read many posts where inventors believe they will be able to get a following of players with their app ( where REAL money isn’t even being wagered) as “proof” of its success. In the table game arena, it tends to work the other way. Get the game into a casino. Table Game Directors aren’t impressed with players who are not in their casinos. So the goal is to get an installation and then you will see the viability of your game — with real players wagering real money. If it proves to be successful, then other Table Game Directors will be more likely to consider it.

Most of them are risk adverse and the hardest installation will be the first one.

Now to answer your original question, Charles Mousseau is a well respected mathematician who also does apps ( flash) as well. Also Joe Shipman is a solid mathematician who also used to be employed by GLI who is very responsive, reliable, and helpful. Both have reasonable rates and can help your tweak your game before you use GLI or BMM. Data generated from an app won’t serve any regulatory purpose as all jurisdictions will state they only accept mathematical analysis from an independent mathematician that they recognize. All recognize GLI, some accept BMM, and a few will recognize other mathematical analysis from mathematicians (VERY few).

Good luck!
