As a hobbyist gamer, I can appreciate what they're trying to do here. As a casino gamer, however, I can only roll my eyes at how fiddly the game is. It's basically craps without the pass line along with the place and field bets mixed together on the wings. Consider...

I don't like to say anything bad about the game, as the guys behind hit were very nice, but I tend to agree with your comments. There may be a decent game idea there, based on the Settlers of Catan concept of winning cards, but this way has too many issues. I think the reason players must pick their spots one at a time is to avoid the problem of the dealer keeping track of who made what bet. Maybe roulette colored chips and a smaller table.

I'd say there is zero chance of success for this game. I'd venture to say they'd be lucky to get 3 installs ever. And that's if they know the people.

Our next game from Cutting Edge 2019 is Diceball. Vinny, the creator, is a fun guy. Between him and Angela, I think this is one of the better videos from the show.

I am sorry to see that my Diceball video didn't get any comments. With Angela making the bets, I thought it was one of our better ones.

On the other hand, my latest video on No Point Craps is not one of my better ones. I feel it doesn't convey the gist of the game well. The gist is there are two primary bets, low and high. If you bet low, you're betting the second roll will be lower than the first.

Direct: https://youtu.be/CYQSc5frmk0.

The guys behind this game were very nice, but it took them a long time to explain the rules. It didn't help that there were a host of side bets and they tried to explain every one of them. I just Emailed Shawn, the owner, for clarification of the rules, which I can put in the video description.

That said, let me know what you think of the game and the video.

No Point Craps
Video was ok. It was not the best pitch (maybe due to nerves or the presence of the Wiz?).
The explanation was confusing right from the beginning. The game is called "No Point Craps" but the first thing explained is the "point" throw. Otherwise it was fine and could be fun to play after learning more.

Diceball: It's a good video. Vinnie is an entertaining spokesperson and Angela (as usual) improves the scenery. I also like the simplified concept with 7 always being bad and everything else always being good or neutral. A glance at its WOO page, however, shows that most of the bets have an HE competitive with slot machines. I'd throw a few red chips at it if I saw it but only because I collect the experience of playing games in the same way many here collect casino chips.

No Point Craps: Yowza. That is a really big table for such a really small game. Two rolls, the end. And what's with the name? The first roll is (rather oddly) called "The Point Roll". Or perhaps it's apt in that there's no point in playing this game. Okay, I kid. I actually think this is a clever idea but, if any streamlined craps game could use a streamlined layout, this would be it. Maybe Vinnie can come over from the Diceball table and give them some pointers.
Have you tried 22 tonight? I said 22.

I thought the game, Diceball, was a nice simplified dice game for those unfamiliar with craps. The idea of always making the 7 a negative outcome should resonate with most players. I was glad to discover that Vinny has gotten a few placements with some of the Grosvenor properties in the U.K.

I hope Vinny gets even more installments as its good to see good people enjoy success!

The next Cutting Edge video is up on Grand Slam Casino Baseball

I must admit that this was another difficult one to explain quickly. My sidekick, Heather, also made a video on the game, which you can find at amazzenggaming.com. The basic idea is you want your two cards to match the four community cards.

Thoughts?
