I'll be there and just roaming. If there is enough interest maybe we could meet at Shufflemaster.

Hey Wiz how do you get passes. I thought G2E was not open to the public. When I used to work at Shufflemaster they used to give us passes and time of work to attend, but I haven't attended since then. Also what in the hell you doing up at 3:00 in the morning.

One option is to just buy a expo only pass. I think they cost about $50. However, the last several years at least one person would tell me a passcode to get in for free.

To answer your second question, I'm a bit sick. I think I have a cold. So I've been sleeping odd hours.

If you book online the exhibition pass is $99. If you book on the day then it's $175.

I'll be around all 3 days, off and on, mainly on Shuffle Master's stand.

One year I asked for a media pass, based on my web site, and they gave it to me without argument. However it looks like they are cracking down on that. If anyone gives me an access code for free registration, and allows me to invite others, I'll PM anyone who expresses an interest in going. No guarantees.

I'll be with DEQ at the show (distributors of G3, EZ Baccarat and EZ Pai Gow).
I'll also roam around and check out as much as I can.

The IGT party seems to be the hottest ticket. However, I've never been invited. I just hear people gloating about it who managed to get a ticket.

Actually Wizard all the manufacturers have gotten together ( IGT, WMS, Bally,ATI) to throw one Big Party...this year it's at the Hard Rock..inside the "Joint"...they had it there last year too. It was better when all the Companies had their own parties...now it's only one party.. the first year they tried it WMS, ATI, & Bally only participated and it was at the House of Blues in Mandalay Bay and they had Smash Mouth & Cheap Trick play a concert...was awesome..IGT decided to join in the next year and the entertainment has gone down hill since .. Kenny Loggins in 08, and basically a cover band last year....hopefully they have better entertainment this year....I'll be at the show all 3 days if anyone wants to meet up.

That's the AGEM party. Nobody paid much attention to Loggins until he sang his hits - and I think he waited until the end when the arena was clearing out - so that's why last year they didn't spend as much on entertainment. This year's "appreciation celebration" sounds like it should be similar to last year at least with regard to entertainment. I went in and went out last year. I thought the center bar was much more fun.

Yeah we went in ate some food had a few cocktails and then went out where they were hand rolling cigars...that was fun...but the entertainment sucked last year...we walked out on Kenny Loggins when he started singing about Winnie the Poo...sheesh...guess we were spoiled from the previous year with Cheap Trick & Smash Mouth...were you at that one? Cheap Trick was running late so Smash Mouth stayed on stage and did 4 song Van Halen set and I swear they sounded better than the real Van Halen lol
