Sir Wizard, saw Bad Beat Baccarat at RED ROCKS, PALACE STATION, AND THE PALMS. Would you give a review / math analysis?

The link you give does not have any information as to how it is played. I did see one site that said it is a set of side bets that pays "up to 30-1" if the side you bet on loses by 1, but that is not very descriptive, especially as I get that, from a full 8-deck shoe, the player loses to the bank by one 8.593% of the time, and the bank loses to the player 8.080% of the time.

I could not find any information on line either, so I hoped Wizard could visit the casinos and analyze. He is a Vegas local . I heard there were some bets paying 100 to 1. Hope someone could do vulnerability study. May be attractive to APs.

Is this vulnerable / countable? How I wish Eliot Jacobson or Dan Lubin were still active here.

Sadly, Dan passed away last year. Never met him, but by all accounts he was a super nice guy. RIP.

Here is my new page on Bad Beat Baccarat.

As usual, I welcome all questions, comments, and especially corrections. Thank you.

Thank for the math.

I don't think the bets Panda 8 and Dragon 7 are patented even though they are trademarked. May I suggest the following re-wording to help general public:

You have:

I should also mention that this table offers a couple other side bets that have been around for a while. One is the Dragon 7, which pays on a winning three-card Banker 7. The other is on the Panda 8, which is on a winning Player total of eight. Neither of these bets are referring to as the Dragon 7 or Panda 8 on the table, but they are exactly the same.

Suggestion:
I should also mention that this table offers a couple other side bets that have been around for a while. One is the bet that pays on a winning three-card Banker 7. This bet has many names, most noticeably, Dragon 7 and Golden 7. The other is the bet that pays a winning Player total of eight; this also have many names and DEQ calls it Panda 8. Neither of these bets is referring to as the Dragon 7 or Panda 8 on the table, but they are exactly the same

Eight Beats Seven: the table has a wrong title.

Thanks for those corrections and the wording above. I just made those fixes.

Just confirmed the math. I added the pay tables to the bottom of my baccarat spreadsheet that can be found at http://miplet.net/baccarat/ . (There is one there now. bacinfo.xlsb I might separate out all the side bets later.) The spreadsheet's deck composition is editable for all you counters out there.
