A new game from AGS called Toss One 21 is being trialed in Reno.
Rules of the game pulled from the AGS website:
"Toss One 21 is a new, unique game where players and the dealer receive four cards and make their best three-card blackjack hand by tossing out one of their cards. If a player or the dealer is unable to make a three-card hand of less than 21, then they bust and lose the hand. If a player and the dealer tie in their three card hand, the fourth card acts as a kicker to determine the winner. The optional All 4 Bonus bet wins if all four of the player’s cards total 21 or less."

This seems kind of fun... but I don't like how it's supposed to be like blackjack "Toss 21" but you can't hit, double, split, and blackjack is TWO face cards + Ace. Seems like the spirit of blackjack only in the fact that you're trying to get to 21, but that's about it.
I could be persuaded to play this game though =).

Playing it correctly means you've already won.

Seems interesting enough that if I notice it, I might try it. But I'm not going out of my way to find it.
Lots of games have zero strategy.Quote: charlestfullerI dont see much strategy here....
I invented a few casino games. Info:

Superstitions are silly, childish, irrational rituals, born out of fear of the unknown. But how much does it cost to knock on wood? 😁

Agree with Charles about no strategy needed. Except 2 minor things.
I'm not sure what the sidebet rtp is, but it seems worth playing at a ratio of half your base bet. If you get a small hand that loses, the least it pays is 2:1, effectively pushing the hand. Hit rate seems to be around 25%. Not that uncommon for 4 cards to add up to 21 or less.
When discarding a face card,.I'm not sure if ties are.broken by rank or value. I think.its rank. If so, it's worth discarding the higher rank rather than any 10.
I would play it.

If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

This sounds awful. No decision by the player except if you have two cards of the same value (which suit do I throw out). I'd rather play Casino War.

Played the simulation in the link. I'd play this if I was totally trying to kill time... but for no other reason.
One thing I don't like... It's impossible to get the best hand (blackjack) and win the bonus on the same hand since the BJ must include two face cards.

I actually agree. This plays much like that game Color War did IMO. Aside from the little tie/discard strategy that Babs mentioned, I don't see the point in even having the players choose the discard. I'm surprised by how many people say they like this.
I played the demo for a while before and after reading people's comments, and I still have that same opinion.
I'd like to see the math on the game to see how often you have a guaranteed loser above 21, the hit rate, Ha etc...
Surprisingly on and off of here it seems split between likes and dislikes of the game.
I guess we shall see how it does, but it's out in the field.....

Your right, this almost acts like an insurance wager of sorts...
