Just thought I'd like to share this information because some of you might use this existing 3 card poker idea to implement a side bet or a new game based off of this. Three Card Poker patent has expired almost two weeks ago, 07/19/2015...whooo hoo now let's go wild and do something with it.

That's just for the core game, right? There have been revisions to side bets and such, as well as they still own the copyright and trademarks.

The base game and the pair plus side bet are the expired items, I believe. This pretty much covers the core game, really.
There are newer items that may be patented, (progressives, new bets, etc.)

Hmmm, that play/surrender version "Q-Poker" gets a foot in the door here in the USA. That game can be played with much lower H.A. than 3CP, rivaling Baccarat. IIRC the standard form of Q-Poker is about 2.75% EoR, and 3CP is about 2% EoR.
Some people need to reimagine their thinking.
