G2E 9/29/15-10/1/15 Sands Expo
Raving 11/9/15-11/11/15 Rio [Edit: it's been moved to Paris.]
I don't know if it's me or CyberMonday or a combination, but my rates for Rio for the Raving dates are COMP! So guess where I'm staying those dates? :)
We will across the aisle from Galaxy Gaming's large 4-booth pod.
Quote: DJTeddyBearIn one of the other threads, someone mentioned that they would have attended G2E if they knew the dates ahead of time. Well, I was looking to book the hotel with a Cyber Monday deal, so I looked up the dates, etc.

Good info DJ. Hope to see you there again.
Just a little clarification... Although Raving is the 9th, 10th and 11th of November, the 9th is just a registration and preview evening. If you can't make it for the 9th, you can still do everything, register, play, vote, attend all seminars, etc. or the 10th and 11th and not miss a thing.
$1,100 to get in I believe, so if you're not a game inventor, table games person or needing some gaming contacts/experience, this event if probably not going to be worth it for you. To me, it's a must for all the previous mentioned people.

I gotta change the reservations I have at Rio. Got a great deal on CyberMonday. Sigh, I hope I can get a good deal on strip somewhere...

Thanks. Yeah, one way or another, I'll be there.Quote: Zcore13Good info DJ. Hope to see you there again.

Note: While ZCore is correct that there are no seminars on the 9th, you CAN visit as many booths as time permits. Also, it's just a few hours in the evening, something of a cocktail reception. So if you're gonna pay top dollar for the entrance fee, it seems like a waste to skip this part.

That's true. You pay for it all, you might as well take advantage of it all. But I did have to miss the early registration/preview/cocktail party one year and was able to catch up on the first day of the actual event. Free drinks on the preview night aren't bad though. :)

I guess I can call BMP media tomorrow and find out, if you guys don't know.
I don't anticipate having any/many people going for me, so if I have spare badges (assuming we get some), I would be happy to share them here.
Quote: 21FlipDoes anyone know if presenters will have passes they can give out?

I think you get 2 full passes and 6 reception night passes. I think you also have the opportunity to purchase additional passes at a deep discount.

It may have changed, but my 3500 got me 2 exhibit hall passes only (to present the game in 2013). We were not to be admitted to the seminars for that price; just the game demo area all 3 days.

Maybe. I don't remember, but I did go watch Geoff Hall speak that year. Last year, I got a reception pass thanks to Paradigm and Wayne Hong.

When we withdrew because of SHFL buying the game, BNP refused to refund my $1000 deposit. I managed to negotiate your 2 passes in partial compensation, since they really cost BNP nothing to provide. But that's all that the original contract allowed, too. All FWIW; I was glad you attended.
BB, you sold your game prior to the November 2013 show right? Not last year or am I truly losing my mind when it comes to dates :-).
Quote: ParadigmYou get two full conference passes, two trade show only passes & 6 VIP passes as part of the standard contract. I think if you need more passes, you can contact BNP and they will work with you.

Yes, we came to an agreement last week of Oct. 2013.
First, it is no longer the "Raving" table games conference. Raving consulting is no longer a partner or otherwise active in its creation. It is all BNP media. Check out tablegamesconf.com and you won't see Raving anywhere (at least, I can't).
Second, the day before (November 9), Bill Zender and I will be giving a full day seminar, the same as last year when our seminar had about 60 attendees, which was fantastic. Bill discussed advanced advantage play against blackjack and baccarat and I covered beating proprietary games and side bets.
Eliot-
I assume your seminar will be intended for an audience of casino execs, not advantage players, right? The way you worded your post make me wonder.
I am not sure what prohibitions BNP places on those who want to take the seminar. They handle all the finances. I am pretty sure, though, that it was all casino management last year.Quote: DJTeddyBear
