I will be coming out, however i will not be exhibiting. I will be walking the floor and doing freelance demos etc...
I will be a guest of AHIGH, so I will definitely be on my best behavior !
Anybody got a link for free tickets?
Quote: BuzzardI will be there. Anyone think an individual inventor will be showing a table game ? I DO NOT
I doubt very many. I think the Raving Table Games Conference has superseded G2E for table game inventors. I've recommended to numerous inventors to scrap plans to exhibit at G2E (although they should still attend and just walk the floor) and participate in Raving instead. Anyone disagree with this advice?

Whats the cost to exhibit at raving this year?
Quote: Paigowdan$3,500 for a 10x10 booth plus goodies. see: Raving table games' Exhibitor info.
Got it, Thanks Dan.
4 casinos offering placements... interesting.

If anybody needs admission to exhibits, let me know. We do have some free passes remaining.

Thanks AHigh!
Did Ahigh make you sign the DI oath like he made me do ?
Nope.Quote: BuzzardDid Ahigh make you sign the DI oath like he made me do ?
Just had to promise I'd stop by his booth. I would have anyway. Ditto for TCS...

I agree. 4 or 5 years ago there were numerous independent game developers/inventors. Some really good ones as well. The last 2 years, maybe a couple.
Raving is the place to go now to get noticed and get feedback.

Raving's contest should have 2 separate categories: Main Game and Side Bet. These are two different animals. Casinos should offer separate trial placement awards, say top 2 each category. I hope independent developers write to Raving to suggest this change.Quote: Zcore13I agree. 4 or 5 years ago there were numerous independent game developers/inventors. Some really good ones as well. I don't agree. 2013 was the first year a side bet won and that was probably because it was a weak showing for "carnival" games. The previous year it was High Card Flush. The Year before that it was Triple Attack Blackjack. The voters decide and there wasn't a game that stood out to them.
On a related note, I would not sponsor if it was for 2 games. I would think the host casinos for the winning game(s) would go to zero if it was a 2 game commitment.

Hi UCivan,
I agree with you on this.
Main Game and Side Bet. These are two different animals.
P.S. for what I see from you past posts, I think you've got a good understanding about New Table Games.

Hi mrsuit31,
The dice are specially made for me by a close friend.
For reasons of Security/Safety for Casinos using my game Roulette-18™. I am unable to supply any more information.

Is there anyone that knows of any companies that have the ability to produce custom hot stamped dice (12 or 20 sided) that would be suitable for live play?
Quote: ParadigmI'll be there for at least Tuesday, walking the floor and hanging around Galaxy, Bally, DEQ & just added AGS to my agenda. Booth prices appear to be down around $6600 for basic 10' X 10" and $7250 if you want an end cap. That seems lower than the $10K I thought they had been in the past. I do agree that Raving is a better venue for the independents to show their wares at $3500.
Realistically it will cost about $5000 ( including 3500 entry fee, $585ish to rent/transport table, 500 air fair & hotel). Maybe more to include signage for the both, rack cards etc... Do you agree?
I will also say, Raving is much more concentrated and focused on table games. So the Attendees and conference topics are all table games driven. The size is smaller so you may not get as many DTG's there as G2E, but those that come are there to see table games. I would recommend the show to an indie, ready to show a new product, hands down over G2E.
Most of my current IP is tied up in negotiation or possible deals so i don't want to cause issues there. I'm still waiting for my next round of 5-6 patents to clear the patent office and then i will be back at G2E next year. I even thought about participating in Raving, but my games are more VP than table games.
So a big thanks to G2E for approving me this year! I will be sure to post extra pictures and stories from the show in return.
In other news, I think we can start to discuss the annual WoV Fall Classic meetup.
My suggestion is we stick with tradition and meet up at I Love Burgers (which is in the Palazzo shops) after show hours on Wednesday. Usual agenda. Start out with drinks and chat, then dinner, then trivia, and then optional gambling afterward.
Looking forward to it
Quote: WizardI'm happy to announce that my application for a G2E press pass was approved this year! The last few times I applied I was denied. This will allow me not just a showroom pass but access to the press lounge, which has comfortable chairs and snacks, and access to the sessions.

I would think that out of all the people attending, you would have the best shot for the press pass!

Would love to attend the WoV annual event again; it's always fun to seeing you guys. But I have to leave Wednesday to meet another commitment. Have a cold beer for me!

I can't go. It's just as well..
The ones that are near the 10K mark are the ones that are near the front of the floor and near the high-traffic areas, entrances, and bathroom. The other booths are ones that are near the back with very little traffic flow. Ravings is a much better event for the money and for the actual target market.Quote: ParadigmI'll be there for at least Tuesday, walking the floor and hanging around Galaxy, Bally, DEQ & just added AGS to my agenda. Curses having scheduled my Vegas trip already. I'll be there for almost the entire week before the convention, and through the weekend. If anyone is going to be in town prior to the week of the convention, or if anyone knows of other events happening the week prior (sept. 23-28) please let me know =D.
Maybe I'm weird by posting this, but if anyone is interested, here's my full itinerary.
I arrive from Newark on United 1110 at 10:58 am. I hope to be driving out of the rental center by 12:30.
Two nights downtown at Four Queens.
Two nights at the Quad.
Two nights at Silver Sevens - for FREE! (I was there for a couple hours three years ago, and lost $100 playing BJ with the Wiz, and they recently sent me my first offer.)
I leave town Saturday night on the red-eye. United 1001 at 10:00pm.
If anyone is interested in any type of meet-up in addition to the normal G2E / WoV meet ups, post it, or PM me. You can also text me at 973-896-7905.
See ya in a few weeks!
Quote: BuzzardPlus Stephen is gonna do some chip tricks.
Dear Buzzard,
In addition to do some Chip Trick, I will also have a set of 8 New Table Games with me (2-Roulette, 1-Blackjack 2-Baccarat and 3-Poker).
P.S. see you at G2E. I will be in both TCS's and DEQ's Booth.
I know the feeling ... my trip is 9/17/14 - 9/22/14 (I am out there for the Olympia show - last year it was the same weekend as G2E, but not this year). It was a great dinner get together last year and I'm sure this year will be the same, sorry I will miss it ... now I have to look at 2015 for the dates.Quote: RomesCurses having scheduled my Vegas trip already.
