I'm getting close to obtaining the patent for my upcoming video poker game called MultiDraw Poker. The game is regular poker with the addition of a MultiDraw Card which can appear in the draw of the hand and it provides the player with additional hands and multipliers to create bigger payouts with the existing held cards. This demo was created a number of years ago, but it shows how the game functions. As I get closer to the final patent issuing, I may create a newer demo to show other features of the base game. This demo allows for the player to play both Jacks or Better or Double Double Bonus (click on the box). The MultiDraw card appears in the hand approximately 1 out of 18 hands, but this may need to be adjusted.
Demo Video: I put this short video together to show how the game functions. I will be doing an actual instruction video later.

Playable Demo: This is an application, so give it a second to load.

As always, I encourage any and all comments, feedback and suggestions.
Thanks,

Does anyone have any input on how often the MultiDraw card shows up in the hand? I'm trying to get an idea if I need to adjust it to show up more or not.
My sample I just played: 100 hands, MultiDraw Card showed up 7 times, lost 375 credits.

I think I saw in the other thread that the average is 6x/100, so your 7 was about at expectation. If I'm playing a game where 5 credits goes to the game, and 5 credits goes to the feature, I'm going to feel like every 17 hands or so is too long to wait between features, especially since you don't always get 5 hits (I watched your demo 'cuz Norton does NOT like your app for some reason), where you got 3 hits, 4 hits, and 5 hits on different hands, not all of which won, so it's not a full multiplier effect, but you're charging double like the multiplier VP's do. I don't know what I'm asking in suggesting this, but I would either double the feature appearance to 10-12/100, or charge less to use it, like an extra 2 credits rather than 5. Maybe a combination. I guess I should read back, but the 9/6 JOB pay table is nice; I just don't know what the HE is for the feature. I do like the volatility the feature adds.
Thanks for asking. I can definitely see this catching on, Tim, so good luck with it!

If the House lost every hand, they wouldn't deal the game.

I will be getting the math done soon and hopefully be able to figure out the correct number of credits it should take to make it a fair game. I originally thought 10 credits was too much, but a few companies who looked at the game mentioned that the Multdraw card is so powerful, 10 may be needed.
I agree, i would like to see it a bit more for 10 credits. This version of the game only allows the possibility of the multdraw card on the draw of the game, but there is alway the option to add another virtual card to the deck to allow a better chance of seeing the feature. (Stay tuned, an embodiment of this game is more than one MultiDraw cards allowed in the hand at one time, both on the deal and draw!)
I also get Norton to pop up and question the file, but it is safe. It scans it and allows me to play. It doesn't install anything. I may have to hire another person to redo this game once the math is finalized.
Thanks for your response and feedback. I appreciate it.

I was torn trying to figure out which one it should be in. I want the video poker players feedback from the one forum and the other great information from the inventors side of it. I will avoid this in the future.

After talking with my patent attorney this past week, it sounds like my MultDraw patent should get the notice of allowance later this week, after being pulled for a 101 ruling. I'm very excited about this which will allow me to also get the CIP filed to add more options to the original game.

After getting "lost" in the patent office and a little over a year later, my patent for MultiDraw is officially allowed. The patent number is US 9,067,144 B1 and I have filed another patent to cover a number of embodiments.
I've also spent the last three months writing three new patents for video poker games. I'm hoping to post these games sometime early next year along with a working demo for each. I really look forward to the great feedback on these boards. Everyone has been a huge help.
