Quote: RomesOkay, so I'm trying to put this all together... I'm combining this promotion with the thread "Diamond in a Day." So... Assuming I have 0 tier credits, if I were to earn 5k tier credits in one day, how many would that mean I get altogether? They have their daily bonuses, which I believe is 2500... but now this sounds like something else where 'on or around' April 15th I'll also get another 2500 (50% of what I earned that day)? Or would I get 50% of 7500 (since with the daily bonus that's what I earned that day)?
I thought I had this all planned out, but the more I read the more it seems to confuse me lol.
The way I interpret their rules, the 50 % would also work on your daily bonus.
From their Website, here are normal daily bonuses:
Earn 500 Tier Credits and receive 125 Tier Credits
Earn 1,000 Tier Credits and receive 1,000 Tier Credits
Earn 2,500 Tier Credits and receive 5,000 Tier Credits
Earn 5,000 Tier Credits and receive 10,000 Tier Credits
So....
5000 Earned in One Day
10000 Daily Tier Credit Bonus (which is enough to get Diamond, right ?)
7500 Extra on or about April 15th
====
22500
5000 in one day is an awful lot to rack up, in my opinion. I would think that doing 2500 on two different days would be much more realistic, and you would end up at the same place in terms of points ( 15,000 plus another 7500 on or about April 15th ).

It seems pretty clear to me from the third item which says the daily bonuses will count towards the promotion. Why is this so difficult. I suppose its more unbelievable than difficult.
If you have earned 50,000 tier credits by March 31st, you will get 25,000 (the max for the offer) so you now have 75,000.
To get to that 50,000, you can simply make 2500 on day one (+5000) = 7500. Repeat for seven days and you will have 50,000 including the bonuses but only have really earned 17,500 and then you will be kicked up to 75,000. That will leave you one day to earn 2500 again for a bonus that make you achieve one of the aspiration levels of diamond.
That's not bad.
Of course you could just earn 5000 for diamond in a day and wait. You will then get 7,500 additional in March for 22,500 points total.
I should point out that the comps rate at Total Rewards is ridiculously small (the Wizard has confirmed this in one of his reviews) so their adding of this bonus isn't that off the scale.
The same coin in of 20K at slots can get me one hundred dollars in shopping at Golden Nugget or Borgata in AC while at CET it gets me only ten bucks.
The only other part I'm trying to piece together is the "time frame" of it all. If I do this BEFORE March 31st (when my TR says my current status were to 'run out') then would I be diamond for the rest of this year, AND next year (i.e. would my diamond status last till March 31st 2017)? Or do I need to do this AFTER March 31st this year, so that it counts for the rest of this year and all of next year?
I'll probably do two 2500 sessions. It sucks because I have some tier points already, but I'm in the middle of the road and will probably just need to do the 2500 twice. The other thing that was a bit funny is that 50% bonus is essentially worthless then. If I end with 22k+ tier credits it doesn't matter, since I'll be over 15k (diamond) the day after I play.
EDIT: Does anyone have a finer tuned method for calculating tier credits on table games? i.e. If I were to go play $25 blackjack with a 'break even' spread (so no heat), for 8 hours at a dead time (lots of hands)... How can I figure out how many tier credits that would give me? Since my expertise revolved much more around table games, I'd like to be able to compare what kind of effort "diamond in a day" would take at blackjack as well.
BTW - I don't know how many people here have thought of this but I did.
Don't earn 5000 tier in one day at ONE casino. If you are in Vegas for example, earn 1,000 at five different CET properties.
You will get five different free-play offers from those five properties and still make your 10,000 bonus tier credits.
Quote: darkozI made diamond in a day two weeks ago. I can confirm my status says I am good until March 15th 2016 and that I earned 10,000 additional for my 5,000 that I earned

So that's my question.. Your tier status next year should be based off your previous year. So had you earned diamond status AFTER March 31st, you should be diamond for the rest of this year AND for ALL of next year (till March 15th 2017), correct?

My understanding is the 2017 date is correct. However, they only issue a card with an expiration of 2016 for tiers earned in 2015 for now; they will begin issuing 2017 expirations after March 31 of this year. (The TR people at Harrah's told me this when I asked in January for 2016 cards and they gave me 2015 cards instead; I earned my Diamond in 2014.)
Your Diamond status, if earned between January 1 and March 31 of this year, is still good until March 31 of 2017. The tier counting starts Jan 1, but retention of prior years has an overlap until March 31 of any given year. So if you earn a tier on Dec. 31, 2014, your tier is good until March 31 2016. If you earn on Jan 1, 2015, your tier is good until March 31, 2017.

Yeah, this is probably correct.
When I first achieved diamond a few weeks ago, the status said I was diamond until March of 2015. I knew that had to be incorrect. Sure enough, about a week later, the date had automatically changed to 2016.

Wouldn't the whole amount of free play just be divided up into five making it more difficult to redeem?

I agree. But why assume my interpretation, or anyone else's for that matter, is correct ?
Here's what it says on the TotalRewards website:
"Your Tier Score qualifies you for Tier Status from the day you achieve the status through the remaining portion of current year, all of following year, and 3 months of subsequent year (expires 3/31)."

No, it would not!
I suppose you can get one large offer from just playing at one casino, but I'm not sure what the cap is for comps. So, you would avoid playing and hitting the cap by doing this.
And every casino I've played at has a cap on their comps that are automatic generated.
For example, Golden Nugget, is $425 per day, Tropicana AC is $350 per day, Borgata is $125 per day, etc.
So you have played 5k at one property got x amount of free play from one place. Lets say $150Quote: darkozI made diamond in a day two weeks ago. I can confirm my status says I am good until March 15th 2016 and that I earned 10,000 additional for my 5,000 that I earned

Then you went and played 1000 at 5 different CET properties and compared that to playing 1 of the properties and you got the same amount at each place?
Each property has a cap on comps.
Also, each property has its own ADT combined with an AMT (Average Market Theoretical).
SO, play for the same points spread out at five properties, and you will get five separate calendar offerings for five different properties plus you will get offers that cover all the properties that are much higher because the AMT is the combination of all five casinos put together.

Thank you babs, and everyone else, whom helped shed some light on these daily bonuses, 50% April bonus, and the timeline surrounding that March 31st 'deadline'... Pretty sure I have a good grasp on it now, so thanks to all of you!

Quote: TheBigPaybakI would only add if you are going to play heavy on certain days, might as well play them on "Reward Credit Multiplier Days", if your particular Caesars property offers those as mine does. One time they did a 20x day which was great although looking over this month I think I have a 7x day available, so if I were to do 5000 tier for that day, it would get me 22500 tier in total and 35000 RCs in total after all bonuses, if I did my higher math properly. As others have noted, 5000 in a day is a lot unless you're really comfortable spending that day, although 2500 seems much more doable...
That's a good idea for racking up RC's, which are different than TC's. HOWEVER, is Video Poker excluded from a Multiplier day ? I'm not sure about that, but I've seen some multipliers where it was. Also, remember that:

Quote: AxelWolfThat makes more sense. I didn't know AC had 5 different locations.

My question is what does 1k points get you per place VS 5k in one place?
Well, it depends on how you earn the points, games you play etc. but the caps at casinos are what also make the difference.
1K in points I usually get about $250 in free-play at any one of the properties. By playing at four casinos to go diamond in a day (I went to Harrah's Philly to make a fourth casino since they closed Showboat this year) I managed to get between $180 and $250 at all four casinos.
In the past I tried doing all my gambling at one single casino and while my offers were higher than each one individually, they certainly were not $1000 -- the total amount I get by splitting up the play.
I was getting between $500 and $550 bi-weekly by just concentrating my play in one location.
Keep in mind that they do change stuff, most certainly year to year so you never know when you go in what you will get AND, it's more than just earning points. There are other factors. Which is why the OP' question really cant be answered without knowing everything he does with his players card.

not worth it to do 2 more 2500tc days (+5k tc bonus each day), especially since they increased it to $45coin-in for 1tc for 9/6 JoB :(

The 50% bonus is on every single tier point you have by March 31st (I don't know specifics times within the day) INCLUDING the day bonuses. So if you have 10k TC's on March 30, you will be diamond within a few days.
I was very clear with the TR woman (Bally's, forget her name) and she told me without a hint of doubt that it includes the day bonus. I provided her the situation above (10k TC's on 3/30) and she confirmed that person would be diamond after the 50% bonus.
