Just got home to a the remains of a snow storm here in Western Canada a few hours ago from my first ever Vegas outing. During this trip we made sure to hit Freemont street actions one of the nights. While down there I was amazed to find TEN SEVEN machines in the one casino...they were dollars machines but since I have never seen machines paying 10 and 7 had to sit down and try them out....actually I took the time to try to teach my sister a bit about the game....showing her the difference in the payout on those machines compared to others sitting closeby. She popped in a twenty and her lessons began..... she like the part where the four sixes came up even if she was only playing for a buck a hand....walked away with $80 after about 45 minutes of play
Pretty sure it was in Four Queens ...they were located in the back of the building near the base of the stairs to the food place on the second floor level
Only thing more amazing then the payouts was ALL THOSE MACHINES were empty while people played other machines for $1 elsewhere on the floor

I don't know what a Ten Seven machine is, but it appears from your description to be both enjoyable as well as mathematically enticing. The fact that such machines were not actively being played is often an indication that many slot players do not really know or care much about the game they are playing and do not shop around for an optimum offering. I rarely play slot machines since I think the House Edge is so high and I rarely find any of the graphics to be exciting.
Many casinos switch machines around for various traffic flow purposes but I don't think players really study slot machines or learn much about them.

Would that make these machines over 100%?

I think the OP is talking about DOUBLE BONUS poker, and yes, its 100.17%.
Some people need to reimagine their thinking.

I agree, the OP is refencing the 10/7 Double Bonus machines at the Four Queens, I was playing the same machines last week. There are several other downtown casino's that offer 10/7 DB such as the Califonia and Main Street Station.
Most DB paytables aren't as generous, but most patrons don't even realize there is a difference between them.

I love 10/7 DDB machines. I was feasting on them at the Peppermill Reno when I was there over the summertime. It beats the 5/6/9 crap that they have here.

I have played the 10/7 Dble Bonus machines at the 4 queens. Even though it is a positive expectation game it is still more volatile than JOB or BP so that is why some people do not play it. They also had it in the 25 cent denomination the last time I was there. They also use to have it at the Palms but I have heard they took it out but I do not know for sure. Even at 10/7 though if you do not hit the quads or the Royal then you can easily have a losing session.

The last time I was in Fitzgeralds they had 10/7/5 DB upstairs. They were old $.25 coin machines.

Neat! I moslty like playing multiple hand machines, but I can make an exception for a good game. And I'll be staying at the 4 Queens anyway, so it's time top brush up on the Wizard's strategies for that game. Lots of VP practice this month and the next one, too...
