I'll spend about six days pounding that full pay DB progressive at the Four Queens.
I'm not a mathematician.
Just playing the pay table on Dancer's tutor, I see that when the royal hits $1222, I need to be playing 3 to the royal (except the 10) over flush, over high pair, I stop letting the nine have so much power in deciding when I keep some suited high cards or go for the flush with a third suited card. And i don't keep any K-Q-A sor of combos even if the nine is there. I suspect that one drops out pretty quick as the royal rises.
And then at $1340 I even start playing A-10 suited, sometimes. Well, I do if I am figuring this right.
It is all hunt and peck and guess at what might change and test it.
So, is there anywhere I can get some sort of a list of strategy changes to apply as the royal progresses, to keep playing the best advantaged game I can?
A similar sort of list might be helpful for the 8/5 at the Vue Bar; however, with three progressives it seems a bit complicated.
Or if no one has consolidated all the abberations, at least list what you would change and at what royal point you would make them.

If you don't itemize deductions you need to consider the tax consequences. $1222 taxable is probably negative gain over $1000.

Thanks. Those hunt and peck numbers are just examples of strategy changes I have found. The changes that occur at $1222 will be valid at $1700 as well.
I understand the tax issues. It is the strategy changes I don't get.

Good point on the tax consequences. If you ignore the taxes, I recommend visiting vpgenius.com, where I think you can alter paytables and generate strategies. It might be very time consuming though.
I heart Crystal Math.

Dewey, you ain't the Lone Ranger. Theoretically the strategy changes from 1 hand to the next, or can. So, you would not play while the progressive is ~1200-1500, correct? VPGENIUS has a great hand analyzer for the standard games. Their strategy guide is very confusing and I don't know if it will produce a strategy for custom pay tables.
