My mom is a regular Pick 'em Poker player at Mohegan Sun, which offers the full pay table at 99.95% payback. I was stunned when she told me earlier this week that Mohegan has effectively shut off comps for their multi-game machines that include Pick 'em Poker. ZERO comps on those machines (they added a cute little sticker with the warning that the machines do not credit comp points).
When asked, Mohegan Sun has stated that they've taken this action because the machines pay so well. Has anyone heard of any other casino doing such a thing or is this more common than I know about?

I think that's fantastic. I've seen casinos in Colorado put signs above banks of machines that advertise 5X or 4X points. This means that those paytables are horrible. If they implemented something as extreme as no points, I would know that those were the best paytables.
I heart Crystal Math.

Grand Sierra Resort in Reno did a similar thing..
They had FPDW, FPDB, FPDDB on one circular bank, which had a large sign on top that read "These machines payback 100%" then under that "These machines earn no points."

Casinos in Niagara Falls state that they give one point for every $40 or $60 on their best poker machines. Those are the ones I gravitate to... and I liked those bank of Full Pay pickems at Mohegan but at a $1 you gotta have a fairly deep bankroll to land that four of a kind ($600).

The Santa Ana Star Casino in Bernalillo, NM (20 minutes north of Albuquerque) has a bank of 8, $1 multi-play slant-tops that are linked to a progressive meter for the RF payout. The sign above them advertises a payback of 100.76% I believe.
You accumulate NO points while playing these machine. You can put your players card in, but no points. I was there last night and the meter for the RF was over $6200.
Running the 9/6 JoB in WinPoker with $6200 gives a payback of 100.7718%. The other multi choices are 8/5 BP, DDB and DW. I'm not sure of the last 2 pay tables.
Yes, this is the same place that pays triple on the 2 & 12 field bet on the craps layout and no commission when buying the 4 & 10 for any amount(even for $5).
They also have a single zero roulette wheel, which when talking to a pit monkey last night, is being moved into regular play with a shuffle of the pit area in the next week. For the most part it is only in play on busy Friday and Saturday nights presently. We'll see about that!
