Heading to Vegas this weekend. I am going to be playing at the MGM and NY NY mostly. Anyone had any good experience at VP machines in either casinos? Much obliged for any info.
I will do a post on City Center upon my return.

What does (no comps) mean on vpfree2? Some of the games listed show that in the description. Does that really mean you dont earn comps for those?

I can't imagine that it doesnt meant what it says
the next time Dame Fortune toys with your heart, your soul and your wallet, raise your glass and praise her thus: “Thanks for nothing, you cold-hearted, evil, damnable, nefarious, low-life, malicious monster from Hell!” She is, after all, stone deaf. ... Arnold Snyder

Honestly, I don't know. I'm not terribly familiar with the MGM-Mirage Player's Club system, but IIRC you can get freeplay money from your points. I guess "(no comps)" means you get the points for playing, but those points don't accumulate into freeplay.

I remember some people discussing this - the machines in question do not have a card reader, hence the "no comps" as there is no way to register you're playing the machines.

OK thanks for the clarification. Its too bad the games with the best pay tables dont earn you comps at NYNY.

Damn, that's just harsh. I knew that other places put comps restrictions on those type of machines (for example, HET properties don't give bonus RCs on 9-6 JoB, just base RCs), but to not give points at all is a little lot extreme.

Well, game the system then. Go to the 50- and 100-play $1 machines at MGM and play one hand at a time. :^)
