Vegasrider, seems to have been talking about video poker specifically.

I hope by now he/she understands the only thing that will turn a class 3 video poker machine into a loose or tight machine is within the pay table ...

Keep hoping.

I also noticed that the meter on the progressive has been bumped up. Now itís going up every 3 hands played, before you had to play 4 hands before the meter went up. I guess thatís good.

I don't know of any progressives that go up by the number of spins or hands. They are usually based on a percentage of the money played.

Well its pretty much the same, I always max bet.so previously it was every 4 hands at max bet, and now its only 3. Assuming I'm the only one playing on that bamk of machines, which is more oftens than mot.

Finally hit my 1st Royal since the casino re-opened here in Reno back in May? I've hit numerous 4 Aces with a kicker, but the RF has been very elusive. Even dealt four to a Royal about ten times

Use your club card to determine how many spins/hands you play and write down your win/loss total (on an index card) on a machine after every 100 spins/deals. Keep going for 1000 spins/deals and see if you're above a 66% (or 86%) payback.

We just got back from a trip to Reno. Between my wife and me we hit 4 Royals playing 3-line Jacks or Better. Three were on 4-to-the-Royal draws and one on holding two suited high cards.

GSR was in the process of redoing all(?) their machines and we could only find one multi-line 9-6 Jacks. Not sure what is going on there. We had to use one playerís card for one side of the casino and another for the other.

The Row casinos (or whatever they are called now) had only two we could find.

The Peppermill had zillions of machines. Love that place.

Smoke from the California fires was thick one day.

my local casino publishes quarterly avg slot return.
before the pandemic, it was 91.4%.
i saw this month for last quarter (when the casino re-opened), it's down to 91.0%.

so the answer is tighter. :(
