The second half of this video shows impossibly lucky draws such as drawing quads from a pair 10/10 hands.
How is it possible? Class 2?

Title: Video Poker 4 of a kind on 10 play draw double double

The probability of four-of-a-kind from a held pair is one in 3601/3.

So, the probability of turning the next ten pairs to ten quads is (1 / 3601/3)10. This is about one in 37 x 1024. Compare this to the probability of throwing 18 elevens consecutively in craps, which is about one in 39 x 1021.

I like that 18 yo's is 1000 times easier than what appears to happen in this video (starting at 6:40.)

I watched another one of his videos with an SDG/Bally video poker and it was clearly a VLT, with a match card bonus. Not class II, but a pull tab game like in Washington State or New York.

I worked with SDG and Bally to build their New York video poker with the Match Card.

9/7/5 Double Bonus with an 80 for 1 Straight Flush for dimes is a bit of a tell too. I don't think that paytable exists on IGT Class III units.

Im surprised they programmed a draw like that though.

Recently, someone playing triple play got dealt a 4 card royal and drew 3 aces to complete all 3 Royals on each line.

I had the same thought. They should have just dealt 4 kings instead of this BS.

When I did lottery poker games we would be given a result from the server of x credits, and then we hadto determine a hand to display that would win x credits. I usually tried to make my result hand based on natural probability of that hand in Class III poker.

I thought ny vp was class II? (Results Predetermined no matter what cards you held)

What's the difference between class II and bingo pull tab like game?

Technically in class II you're playing bingo with other patrons for some of your wager, but they also award secondary prizes for various bingo combinations on your card solely. For example, getting all 4 corners in the first 4 balls might be mapped to seeing a dealt royal flush. The bingo balls are randomly selected.

With virtual pull tabs, like in WA or NY racinos, there is a finite virtual drum with millions of prize amounts that are randomly selected. Periodically, well before the virtual drum expires of tickets, additional winning and losing virtual pull tabs are added to the drum.

In both class II and virtual pull tabs, strategy for video poker is rendered moot.
